I've got some access to land north of Oak harbor. I've not really coyote hunted and would like to have someone with some experience join me. Won't be able to hunt it until mid Dec. or later though due to my schedule.

I have a coyote hunting buddy on Whidbey. He has decades of experience and taught me everything I know about it. We have been talking about putting another trip together. Let me know if you want to work something out.

did any of you see any action here on the island?
-
Last week I talked with the landowner, sounds like he has been throwing some lead at them with no real plan to get them and they pretty much just howl from the neighbor's property who won't allow hunting. :bash:
-
so i haven't been out after any yotes yet but i was wondering what to do with them after the shot? prob better to have a plan now then try and figure it out when i got one in the truck bed.
-
If they are ratty and mangey, just chuck someplace out of site. Seems like some folks like to place them where they can shoot more when they come to investigate. If it is in good shape, you can case skin it and sell the hide at one of the fur auctions or maybe sell it to someone with more experience or trade for skinning help.
-
Keep us posted on how you do. I will be up for it in the future.
-
I used to hunt over there years ago and the yotes responded well ...if anyone has property we can legally hunt I maybe up for a days hunt ...IF YOUR NOT AFFRAID TO BE SEEN WITH BH45 that is :chuckle: :chuckle:
