Pat and I drove to the westside for some relief in temperatures, to visit with Jay and Ray and BBQ. While there I took some pictures of Pacyew and his students working on their long bows. Hope it gives a feel for the work involved.

The students were busy inspite of my questions and stories. They had some good stories also. Hope you enjoy this part of the archery game.

That was the best weekend I've had in a long time. Jay is a first class instructor and has the patience of a saint. My bow turned out great and the experience really got me charged up to build more.
If you've ever had an interest in traditional archery and building your own gear, I couldn't recommend Pacific Yew and Jay St. Charles any higher. ;)
