Hard to tell from this pic how big it is. It also appears to have a hump. :dunno:

That's what happens when a bear's body is deeper than its head, unlike most of the 400 pounders we hear about. :chuckle:

Real hard to tell when the camera is really really close to the animal, pics like this can be kinda deceiving

:yeah:
Since you have the license plate as a reference point and it is only the right front leg past half way, the bear appears to only fill less than half of the truck bed.
It looks like the aspect of the camera gives it the appearance of being huge.

Don't know the guy personally but my neighbor does and showed me this pic with others.... It's a big bear... Probably right around the 400# range... Think it was 7' nose to tail.... And also informed it came out of Seabeck... But I could've understood that wrong that he lives in Seabeck and got it in Shelton??? :dunno: Either way hell of a bear...

There was a 400+ pounder taken in the Seabeck area a couple years ago. Seems like the guy got it on private property, sumbitch was huge! :yike:

Looks like a nice one, I'd to hear the story.

I shot a bear rug was 7'2" nose to tail (spring in Ontario), pig girth estimate made it 450#, it took five of us all we could do to drag it to the truck on a tarp.
