The barnes TSX tipped bullet is AWESOME. I used the scirroccos for many years since they're bonded and have given good accuracy but they are sooooo expensive. So I decided to jump back on the barnes bandwagon and try there new tsx tipped bullet. Loaded up a bunch of the 130 grainers for the 30-06 and was VERY pleased with accuracy. Can't wait to see how Mr. Whitetail likes them.
The website gives 3200 fps out of a 24" tube so I'm gessing I'm around 3000. Thats dead on out to 300+. Gotta love that in the old 06. Who needs a magnum??? ;)
If you guys are thinking about trying them, go for it. As usual barnes has come out with yet another awesome bullet.
Next step is some long range target practice to learn the drop at extreme ranges.
The blood is pumping!!!

I could not agree more. I shoot the Barnes Varmint Grenade in my .223, the TSX in my .25-06, .270 Win, .30-06, 300 Win Mag, and .338 Win Mag, and the Barnes Banded Solids in my .458 Lott. All Barnes bullets shoot great. Barnes does make one awesome bullet!
