I'm posting this for my brother. He has a 1 year old english pointer that is doing very well but he is looking at sending her to a kennel to get her trained right. After a lot of research he's looking at Field and Marsh Kennels in OR. Any comments on them? Good or bad is welcomed.

I went and looked at their website, I had not heard of them before. Not the same Jeff Miller that I know who is a great trainer. My only concern would be...There is a list of breeds they claimed to have trained. One would think that on their home page they would of least spelled the names of the breeds correct. That would be a major red flag for me.
Just my :twocents:
But then I'm also the competition.

i don't know how a guy can have time to train dogs when he's got a business doing wildlife photo safari, big game guiding, turkey hunting guiding, shooting lessons, duck guiding, pheasant guiding, corporate events, etc. Busy dood this time of year.
I think I'd find someone who just trains dogs.

If he is in Oregon, have him give Whitewater Gundog Training a call and see if they are what he is looking for in a kennel. Rob and Shelley competed in Springer Trials for a long time and were very successful and I am sure they are great pointer trainiers as well.

RJ at quick silver kennels is a hell of a trainer. I would see if his roster is full yet.
