:dunno: Can anyone tell me where I can get a case catcher for a bolt action rifle? I have a 6.5x47 Lapua necked up to 30cal, neck turned so I don't want to loose any cases???
Cheers

You were born with two of 'em 8)

Most everything I've ever seen has been home made.
You might get some ideas here: http://www.thecountryshed.com/brass_catchers.htm (http://www.thecountryshed.com/brass_catchers.htm)

I've never seen a brass catcher for a bolt gun. I doubt theres one available commercially.

Yeah, I think your going to have to make one or just pull the back slow enough that when the case starts to kick out, you just grab it.

It's a habit you can develop, I do it without even remembering I did it until I find the brass in my pocket. I lose one occasionally but get most of them.

Thanks guys.
I'm useing a sleave made from a piece of t shirt material, thought there might have been something better. They're ilegal over here. I do a lot of Deer culling in orchards & wineries often have to get them off as quick as I can. Hate loosing my custom cases.

I made one for my ARs, because it throws the cases so far and wide into the brush. Just a simple flap of light leather with 2 loops of small bungee cord that goes around the ends of my scope mounts and attaches to the knobs on the mount. Hangs down over the ejection port so the empties fall at my feet, or onto the bench if I'm target shooting. Tried to modify a commercial (UTG) shell catcher, but it didn't work much better no matter what I did.... :twocents:
