I didn't know which category to post this on So I just did this one.
Which Hunting Do You Like Better? DEER HUNTING OR ELK HUNTING?
Why Is It You're Favorite?
-
Neither, I prefer turkey. :chuckle:
-
Turkey hunting is fun to :)
-
Elk hunting
-
Elk hands down. They are more challenging than deer and the are so fricken majestic. I feel like its an honor to take one. There is nothing easy about elk hunting.
-
Elk hunting for sure. I look forward to September and bugling bulls year around. I never get all too excited about deer since I pretty much just look at it as a meat hunt for the first legal animal.
-
Deer hunting for me. Live and breath whitetails.
That being said I do get a rush out of sept. bulls. I love the hose pack in and out heavy with meat and antlers.
-
ELK definitely for me. But cougars the most of all.
-
Love them both! :twocents:
-
Elk for sure...
-
I am a better deer hunter. Deer hunting is more enjoyable to me. But I hunt elk harder and really cherish elk more.

:yeah: Couldnt of said it better. I personally suck at elk hunting :chuckle: But it makes me push so much harder, for deer its a whole lot easier so its far more enjoyable most of the time.
-
for me it depends on the time of year...November its all about rutting whitetails
-
Whitetail's only for me. Elk are awesome animals but hunting them doesn't interest me much if there is a deer season. I have passed up bulls each of the last three years.
-
If it is good elk hunting, I prefer elk. But I would rather hunt in the rain than the 80 degree heat and dust. This last year was a tough season for me in terms of elk. I had more fun deer hunting this year, but in the past seasons, elk hunting has taken the cake
-
Deer, because I can do it close to home.
-
I would rather chase a big muley buck over elk any day. Calling in a bull is fun, and gets the heart pumping, but a big muley buck gets me going more than anything else. Honestly, I could care less about elk unless I draw a tag.
-
Elk.
-
ELK :IBCOOL:
There is nothing like calling a bull into close range. Being able to manipulate these animals in their natural setting.
-
Any, and all of the above
-
Deer usually because it's not so cold. I do love if I can afford it being in Elk camp can't be beat.
-
Deer...unless if I found a good spot for elk and actually got an elk...or should I say, MY elk :IBCOOL: :chuckle:
-
Lately it has been Parking spots!! Holiday Shoppers. And then throw in the
Canadians who should be required to pass a parking certification before crossing
The border. This never used to be a problem But WOW Whatcom County is Crazy
Right now.

Elk

Archery Elk!!! Nothing else like screaming bulls in late Sept.!!! Already have a back country trip planned in Eagle Caps wilderness for Sept. 2013. Of course, that will be after chasing them around here in WA first.

:yeah:
Plus 1 +++++

For me it is all great! I love the challanges that Elk hunting brings and now that I hunt Wyoming for Elk it is a great thing. I will only hunt WA Elk if I am drawn for a good tag. I deer hunt close to home with my son's and my daughter and absolutly love that more than about anything but taking an Elk is jsut a different feeling al together.
-
elk, absolutely addicted to archery elk.
-
Deer for sure, maybe if i could hunt something other than true spike or cow.
Elk is all about the meat unless i could draw a tag.
-
Muleys
-
ELK!
-
Off subject, but some of the grandest most enjoyable hunting I've ever had was good old squirrel hunting with a 22 in Arkansas hardwoods. Oh how I miss it!
-
Rutting elk or Mulies... I can go either way.
-
That's pretty loaded question. I love both, been sucessful in both but like someone else said I can go out not far from home and hunt even for a few short hours. I love hunting mulies most because of the terrain they live in even if I don't kill one. There are always plenty of opportunity for a blacktail and I've come to enjoy hunting them also.

I grew up in Arkansas. I miss squirrel hunting too.
-
Seeing as how I've never been elk hunting I'd have to say deer and prefer whitetail over mulies
-
Elk...until it's laying there and I realize how much work it's going to be to get it off the mountain. Then I prefer deer hunting!
-
Muley hunting, unless I get drawn for a bull. The feeling of chasing my bugling bull around will never be beat.
-
I really enjoy tracking elk here in western washington but I also enjoy hunting the smart blacktail bucks.
-
ELK definitely for me. But cougars the most of all.
I wish I agreed. So far cougar hunting for me has been days of calling. Followed by ten seconds of being terrified and blowing an opportunity.
-
There is nothing like watching a bull dip and dodge his antlers through the reprod when he's coming to your stand.
-
If I could get a Muley to bugle I would hunt nothing else.
-
Bear, Elk, Deer and Turkey. And yes, in that order
