If you mean the RRA Winter Trigger Guard, It's a $15 item, and can be put on any AR.  I have them on all 5 of my ARs--well 4.  I just sold one of them tonight.

Both are good picks. I just picked up my first ace stock. It's o.k but I like the stock on the RRA better. Also hard to beat the rra 2 stage  One of the best triggers I have shot in the ar's.

I think he meant the foreend with those footprint cutouts.

I would chose the RRA.
I like the buttstock better, its a pound lighter and a couple inches shorter, can fire 5.56 and .223, and has the cool tube up front with the rails in the right spots so you could have a scope and put nightvision in front of it if you wanted to do some night hunting, but nothing on the bottom and sides to chew up your hands.  Plus barrel is already thread so you could suppress it.

I have a RRA with a 2 stage in it. Best AR I've owned. I'll sell it for $20,000 right now.............. :chuckle:

Oh, yeah--the Fred Eichler special.  A friend of mine looked at one, and the footprint handguard was the one thing he DIDN'T like.  :dunno:

I would pick the Windham. I know looks don't count for squat but I think that particular RRA looks like poop... just my  :twocents:.

The main thing I don't like is that fixed buttstock that looks like a 6-position Operator Stock.

By the way, If you don't like your AR trigger, the RRA 2-stage NM trigger will go in any brand lower. (Assuming they are Mil-spec lowers, of course.)

With the AR I just bought, what ammo would you guys start with.  Eventually I will reload, but I don't have all the components yet so am just going to buy some factory match grade.  It is .223 rem 1:8 twist on a 20" barrel.  What brand, grain, etc????  I will be primarily hunting coyotes with it.

Thanks

I use the cheapest ammo I can get. PMC is pretty good.

Right now, the ammo you should shoot is any ammo you can GET!  Good luck...

There is plenty of ammo still available if you don't want bulk.  I have found many places stocking it.  It is getting spendy though.

This, for the very same reasons.
Also, the Wylde chamber will shoot 5.56, it seems the Wyndham is .223 only.
Both should shoot...It suggests in the link that the Wyndham has a Compass Lake barrel?...That's not screwing around.

I just shot my RRA Predator 1/8 with 3 different types of ammo.(5rd groups)
Black Hills 75gr (I think it's Amax)...about an inch...each group had a flier
Black Hills 52gr HP (I think they're MatchKings)...about an inch....each group had a flier.
HSM 77gr MatchKings....under 3/4" consistently, no fliers....shot about an inch lower than the Black Hills 75gr.
I have not run any of these through a chrono.
Black Hills 60gr Ballistic Tips have been extremely accurate, also.

I had very good accuracy with the 60 grain Hornady V-Max bullets.  Handloaded with 23.0 grains of Ramshot Xterminator powder.  I think it was with my RRA Coyote Rifle, which I sold 2 nights ago.  Wasn't using it much anyway, since I got my 20 LBC up and running.
