Been awhile since we did one of these topics. I posted this in "other big game" so I am not talking about deer and elk but something out of the normal.
The more I see them, the more I would love to take a Marco polo sheep.
How about you guys?
-
Mine would be a dall sheep for some reason I just want one :chuckle:
-
Bull elephant at 15 yards.
-
Washington Moose. :chuckle: You can buy most hunts but that one. :'(
-
Polar bear (of course) or Dall sheep, both with a bow.
-
Stone Sheep. Anyone want to pay for me to go :chuckle:

Let me go raid the monoply money, how much you need bud? :chuckle:
-
Bucket list says:
Sheep,
Wolf in Washington (won't happen until the western side goals have been reached)
the ever elusive Bull Nauga!!Perhaps a better chance of the Nauga!!
-
Kind of thinking maybe a buffalo....from the back of a horse.
-
Stone sheep as well. Or to be more realistic, I'd be pretty pumped getting another bull moose, but this time an Alaskan with a bow. Kodiak brown bear on the mind as well. Now I'm dreaming!
-
My hunting goal within the US is to take a big bull moose in AK with my bow. Not sure about outside the country, there are so many choices! I would like to shoot an alligator gar with my bow and try catfish noodling someday though :)
-
Oh that's easy, it would be a B AND C black tail buck, you could line up every animal on the continent and I would take the blackie everyday and twice on Sunday
-
I would like to kill a 55 to 60 inch Moose someday with my bow but I also would love to go on a Dall sheep hunt too ...
-

A Nauga? This is all I could find online for a nauga.
-
Sorry fellas didnt read the rules, mine would be then a world record grizz taken with a homemade spear that you have to throw by hand

Busted LOL like I said better chance of shooting one of these than a wolf in Washington!!
-
I just want to draw a damn bull tag for gnu 340!
-
I'm changing mine. Thanks for stirring my mind jackmaster. I'd rather hunt a very large coastal brown bear along a river with a fine rifle.
-
Mine is Muskoxen, tried getting drawn for years but it never happened...
-
Red Stag
-
I would like either a Mountain goat or a New Zealand Red Stag.
-
I'm simple, just want a moose. I've been putting in here for 25+ years and MT for about 10 years (until they cut permit numbers way down and alienated out of state hunters).
-
Another moose fan here. On another continent I'd like to kill every hyena in Africa! :chuckle:
-
Well my original dream animal was a red stag, so I had to pick a new one :chuckle: Since I have already got that dream animal.

:chuckle: one of these days.
-
A washington wolf :chuckle:
-
Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep. I need some major luck in the draws
-
A cali sea lion :chuckle:
-
A cali sea lion :chuckle:
How about all of them? :chuckle:
-
As many sea lions as I can take on and near the columbia and as many WA. Wolves. I hunt for meat and I heard they are a delicacy so I'd take as many as possible so my family can enjoy to!
-
Stone sheep Yukon Territory
-
I would really like a fun bull moose hunt. More so, a moose hunt for my wife, she really wants to harvest one. Sure will be a great day when I get to see her nail one.
-
cape buffalo=africa
big horn sheep- usa
-
I'd like a brown bear. And a stone sheep... and a Bezoar Ibex.
-
Ok and a Cape buffalo. One of the only African animals I'm interested in. Other than a zebra.
-
Well lets see.... she would be about 5'6" with appropriate proportions blonde with brown highlights, a bright white smile.. about 32 preferably athletic and could carry on a conversation ( at least for awhile) :chuckle: and then i would take it from there
-
Stone, Rocky, Desert sheep. Red stag (already booked for that one), Yukon moose, and Coastal brown bear just to get started. :yike:
-
My dream animal is whatever is legal, local and good to eat. That runs from grouse to deer and elk here in Washington, and included moose and snowshoe hare in Alaska.
-
Bay up a jag with my hounds in new Mexico, I might just kill myself after that cause i know life ain't getting better than that.
-
Since I voiced my opinion of our horrible elk hunt in BC my final trip for goat up there was cancelled by the outfit. So I still need to get one of those before I'm too broken. (which might already be too late :chuckle:) So that probably tops my list.
My grizzly hunt was also cancelled by the BC F&G. Guess all those big bear I've been seeing up there are 800# blackies as the F&G said there are no more grizzlies in that territory. :bash:
So! I have just booked a goat/grizzly hunt in the Yukon for 2014. Hope that can put them both on my list at the same time. Outfitter is trying to get me to add Stone Sheep. Guess if the business sells next week I'll add that ;)
The animal I want more than all others is a huge A/Y moose. I've put off booking a trip for one figuring I'm not yet old enough to take a moose over the high mountain critters yet. But, I think I'm getting close. Thinking that will be my 50th birthday present to myself. That is if I don't die of a stroke on the mountain first.

With your hounds Skippy, Jif and Peter Pan?
-
siberian ibex as far as exotic goes.. Books coues whitetail and sitka blacktail so i can complete my grand slam of B&C deer!
-
I heard about an extremely pale cougar roaming around 'way up in the Yellowknife area - it was reportedly almost white. That's one of the more unique big game animals I've ever heard of, and I'd love to take one like it.
A large, mature Spirit Bear from coastal B.C. would also be pretty cool.
-
Wild mountain beaver? Unfortunately, the WDW (wife's department of wild-living) doesn't issue that permit to me. :chuckle:
My dream animal would be any animal I could harvest on a dream trip. That trip would include my dad and brother and other family and friends, and my kids when they get older, on a pack trip or some remote cabin. The story of which we can recount over and over and over, like my grandpa did with his stories when I was a kid. That's my dream.
re hunting in Africa; that's something I personally don't quite get. I've been to Kenya and Tanzania. Hunting any large animal on the Serengeti with a rifle would be about as difficult as hunting a steer in the pasture.
Here's a pic from part of my African adventure.
-
Washington Moose and maybe a Rocky Mountain sheep full curl. wild boar/pig, Pronghorn Antelope.
Not necessarily that order.
-
Oh that's easy, it would be a B AND C black tail buck, you could line up every animal on the continent and I would take the blackie everyday and twice on Sunday
Same here
-
alaskan bull moose, coastal brown bear, pow black bear white moutian Bull elk in wa moose, big Muley buck and big horn ram Big bull elk
-
A massive mossyhorned dark antlered muledeer
-
DIY Alaskan moose hunt.
-
The more I see them, the more I would love to take a Marco polo sheep.
:yeah: Only the most expensive hunt :chuckle:
-
Hey if a guy is going to dream might as well dream big right.
-
Hell ya 8) My dream car is like an '05 Ford GT :chuckle:
-
A stone sheep would be my dream hunt by far. Probably won't ever happen. I always wanted a barren ground caribou but the mountain caribou would be the most beautiful and coolest hunt of all the bous.
-
I choose not to dream too big... A nice caribou for me...
-
Wolf. I've shot just about everything in Washington State that is not a draw/raffle tag or an OIL tag.
-
A Spotted Owl, Wa Wolf and Tree Hugger! All full body mounts! :chuckle: :chuckle: But seriously a Big moose or a Wolverine.
-
#1 Alaskan Moose
#2 brown bear
#3 a monster non typical elk (spider bull)
Than I'm satisfied, not! Lol
-
WSF has raffle tickets on sale now for the upcoming Reno Show. Five people will be going home with a dream hunt at odds I expect will be far better than OIL tags in Washington. WSF raffle drawing is a "Need not be present to win" raffle. I'll probably be dropping a grand or so on tickets. Good cause even if you don't win something.
For those of you who dream of a sheep hunt and not thinking it will ever happen you cold be the Lucky Dog for $20.00 a ticket or less!!!
Hunts to give away are:
10 day stone's sheep - Yukon
Desert Bighorn - Baja
10 day Dall's Sheep - NWT
14 day Bighorn - Alberta
8 day Mid-Asian Ibex - Kyrgyzstan
Plus:
Jack O'Connor Tribute rifle
Blaser R8 rifle
Beaver Jacket w/Lynx trim
Could be more hunts and merchadise by the time the drawing happens on February 2!
-
Red stag or a big late season mule deer.
-
brown bear
caribou
red stag
-
Not many days go by that I don't think about going on a moose or sheep hunt. Sheep would defiantly be on top of my list.
-
I can't wait for an Alaska caribou hunt. We've been talking about it for a while now, just have to decide to go for it!
-
#1 Black Death; Cape Buffalo
Caribou/Reindeer 'bou; Adak Island or Noatak float trip (0ut of Kotzabue). Reindeer Norway or Kodiak Island
also Argali and Red Deer
Big game fishing #1,000 Blue Marlin
-
Caribou and moose for the antlered species. Big bears of any kind and a coug. WA wolf would be icing on the cake.
-
#1 siberian ibex
#2 bule duiker
#3 Mt goat
-
I would say Ibex is at the top. Frontal head shot on a bull elephant with a double rifle is second. Last is high altai argali, you gotta love those giant sheep.
-
#1-Siberian ibex
#2-kodiak Brown Bear with bow
-
A giant non-typ Muley with mass and trash

I missed one of those about 20 years ago. You could call it my "Dream Animal" even though it's more of the reoccurring nightmare I just can not get rid of >:(
If the original post had not said, "Except Elk & Deer" that would be mine as well. I figure more out of vengeance than anything else.
-
A Cape Buffalo and Leopard
-
Bucket list says..
Big horn sheep, moose, antelope, cougar, bobcat, wolf, and bear. I don't need to go to any other countrys except maybe Canada.
So whose helping my dreams come true?
PS... I have lots of Apple pie :chuckle:
-
Why we are dreaming I will add a Marco polo sheep to my stone sheep hunt.
-
There are some pretty exotic dream hunts listed here, mines not asking that much... I just want to get drawn for bighorn sheep here in washington...

That might be the loftiest dream on here :chuckle:
