What do you guys think of these? they say the actually add speed to the bow
-
I shot mine side by side with the RAD'S I am using now. I saw about 1-2 fps difference. I think it had to do with the weight. If I remember right the g5 was a little lighter and was a little faster on the bow. It's not a selling point 1-2 fps ain't going to make once bit of difference.

i've installed a couple, but not for speed, but for peep rotation.

My alphaburner and vector turbo both have weights on the string from the factory to add speed. I'm sure the g5 speed studs work the same way. you can't just slap them on there though. You would need a chrono so you can move them up and down and see where you get the best performance.

I couldn't tell you if they really increase speed cause I have a G5 bow so they came with it. But I can say I love that they make it so you don't have to have peep tubing for your peep sight

The G5 studs are a neat little gadget. For speed increase it is all about their relation to the cam and the A2A length. They can also help in rotating the peep if it rotates slightly. Quite nice if you are not close to a proshop when your string creeps a little - common in rain, high humidity with 8125. If your bow originally came with speed buttons, but your new string replacement omitted them it brings the string back to near factory speed. If nothing else they are a bunch of fun to play with ;)
Will they make a difference when shooting at an animal? No! Will they make you feel better when shooting through a chrony? - usually. Since most people worry more about how their bow shoots through the chrony than how many animals it puts on the ground it might be an accessory to look at. I personally do not use them, but they were definitely worth the money to play around with. You learn alot about how your bow works while playing with them. And there is never anything wrong with having a better understanding of how your weapon works.
As far as the G5 peep...Why would you shoot anything other than a RAD peep? :chuckle:
