Always love owl pics, although I think they are considered "Birds of prey" and not "raptors" ;)
Maybe gramps will add them to the thread title.
-
raptor (rptr)
1. A bird of prey, such as a hawk, eagle, or owl.
Bird of prey
Birds of prey are birds that hunt for food primarily via flight, using their keen senses, especially vision. They are defined as birds that primarily hunt vertebrates, including other birds. Wikipedia
Definition:
(noun) A carnivorous bird of prey that hunts and kills other animals for food, including small birds, fish, mammals, lizards and insects. The Latin word “raptor” means “to seize or capture” and describes how these birds hunt with their large, strong talons and sharply hooked bills. Raptors are also powerful fliers.
There are many species of raptors, including bird families such as eagles, hawks, falcons and owls.
Your never too old to learn something ;)

You can re-size pictures really easily in Microsoft Paint, should be installed default on your comp, if you open the pic in there then just click re-size/ type in a number for the percentage decrease -shrugs- super simple :)

Can’t hang with the bug lens but this guy pays us regular visits. This night there were 2 but I could only find this one. There were big conversations going on between them for quite a while.

I believe I have a few raptor shots.

One more for now.

THese guys need to see one with a pretty red fish. ;)

.

Finally, with help from Brute, figured out why my pics had such poor color, saving them in the wrong color space. So here's a raptor with a red fish as requested.

Sorry for no pics, was working. Second load of grain yesterday a marmot got squished after homesteading my truck and trying an escape. Kind of a mess, left it in place. 4th load I came around the corner and a bald eagle was attempting a marmot carry off and two redtails were trying to steal the prize. This is in the far east, dry land farm country. Neat interaction!!!!
