Title: Anybody floating the rivers this Saturday?
Post by: whitey on January 09, 2013, 12:36:56 PM: Well with the good shot of water the rivers just received Im thinking the rivers should be full of fresh fish for this weekend.
Anybody hitting it and what river.
Im hitting the Sky on Saturday, should be real good.

1 way or the other will be on the river trying out my new oars (Sawyer Square Tops).
I have been chomping at the bit.
Maybe see some of you guys up that way.

Post by: bankwalker on January 09, 2013, 11:02:29 PM: The rivers are dropping really fast and I'll certainly be out on my pontoon on my local river either friday if it gets in the lower 4000 cfs range by then. But definitely Saturday it will be :tup:

It's very unlikely they'll slow the flow. There was close to a foot of snow that melted off the last 2 days up in the hills above the lake.

I heard you won the lottery like 11 times and the fish guiding is just a front so you can get tax breaks and fish at the same time.

River looked awesome, parking lot at Reiter was FULL, glad I wasn't there. Nooch bound tomorrow, good luck this weekend everyone.

I live in the county just east of Puyallup. We should hook up some time. Pun intended. :chuckle: :chuckle:

What section were you fishing? Bank or boat? And did you hear how the boats were doin?

LOTS, and LOTS of boats on the Satsop. Way more then on the Wynoochee. What does that tell you? :dunno:

i took a drive this afternoon, and couldn't find a place to fish. well, i could've fished the slide hole but the river was up and i don't care much for it(off the bank at least) at these flows. almost tried crossover but there were some bankie rigs there already and a guy and his kid were getting their boots on, so i didn't want to make that long walk. from there i was gonna try my "plan b" river but there was a guy in my spot! :bash:, a river that rarely gets fished, or at least used to.

finally i drove up to the hump. in short, lots of people, no fish.

Post by: 7mmfan on January 13, 2013, 05:19:16 PM: Floated from 7400 to Whitebridge yesterday with everyone else. My buddy in another boat and I both went 3 for 4. Couple nice 12-14# chromers. All hatchery fish. Tons of boats and seemed everyone had a fish or two.
