Anybody floating the rivers this Saturday?
« on: January 09, 2013, 12:36:56 PM »
Well with the good shot of water the rivers just received Im thinking the rivers should be full of fresh fish for this weekend.
Anybody hitting it and what river.
Im hitting the Sky on Saturday, should be real good.

Its suppose to get cold and the Sky is on the drop and dropping pretty fast. Its suppose to get cold for the next few nights and i think it will come on in. I hope anyways.
1 way or the other will be on the river trying out my new oars (Sawyer Square Tops).
I have been chomping at the bit.
Maybe see some of you guys up that way.

I was thinking of hitting the 'Nooch from the white bridge to the crossover bridge.  It depends a little on what they do with the dam though.  Maybe the Hump  :dunno:

I was thinking of floating the Sky Saturday too but I might default to shooting some arrows instead.

The rivers are dropping really fast and I'll certainly be out on my pontoon on my local river either friday if it gets in the lower 4000 cfs range by then. But definitely Saturday it will be

It's very unlikely they'll slow the flow. There was close to a foot of snow that melted off the last 2 days up in the hills above the lake.

:yike:  I'll look a little closer at the Humptulips then. The Cowlitz isn't much further for me, but even with a boat I hate the crowds, especially on the weekends.  :bdid:

I was going to hit the Ronde, but single digit lows this weekend have deterred me :chuckle:
