That's maybe good enough for a second archery doe tag.  Wanna partner?  :chuckle:  I can't draw one since the drawing format change, and I don't have any points since all I drew it almost every year before the change.

Yep..and 170 OTC is very doable (at least to find them..killing them is a different matter) so I definitely wouldn't wast 15 points on a 170.

The wife's maxxed on deer points, but she can't even draw a tag on her own... partnering up don't help that unless it's a relatively "easy" tag to draw?
Title: Re: Don't waste your deer points

I must admit this is one of the strangest first posts that I have ever read.

If you have more points than the OP, your draw odds will be worse than if you applied by yourself. If you have less points than the OP, you might wonder why he would want to apply with you. It would hurt his draw odds and require him to share his knowledge of the location of an exceptional buck with someone he doesn't know.

 I don't get it either.
Even if you had the same amount of points, why would you apply for a great permit as partners? Maybe it would work...if there were lots of permits, but with low permit numbers I wouldn't do it.

The odds of drawing a permit as a party are never as good as the combined odds of at least one of the party members drawing separately.

I think it's obvious he doesn't have any points, and he's looking for someone to split their points with him. In exchange, he will be the "guide" for the other person.

Similar to what I've seen people in Oregon doing, but they actually "sell" their points. It makes more sense in Oregon though, because with their system you pretty much know how many points it takes to draw a particular permit.

Sounds like one of the letters I get daily about a "great deal"

From Dr. Evans Egobia

Dear Friend

it is with trust and confidence that i write to make this urgent business proposal to you. I was assigned by two of my colleague to seek for a foreign partner who will assist us in providing a convenient foreign account in any designated bank abroad for the transfer of us$35,500,000.00 pending on our arrival in your country for utilization and disbursement with the owner of the account.

This amount results from a deliberate inflation of the value of a contract awarded by our ministry - the federal ministry of agriculture (FMA) to an expatriate company. The contract has been executed and payment made to the original contractor, remaining the over-invoiced amount of us$35.5 million, which we want to transfer the funds out the country in our favour for disbursement among ourselves. the transfer of this money can only be possible with the help of a foreigner who will be presented as the beneficiary of the fund.

As government officials, we are not allowed to operate foreign accounts, and this is the reason why we decided to contact you. we have agreed that if you/your company can act as the beneficiary of this fund (us$35,500,000.00 million)25% of the total sum will be for you for providing the account while 5% will be set aside for the expenses incurred during the cost of transfer of the fund into your account while 70% will be reserved for us.

We hereby solicit for your assistance in providing a convenient account number in a designated bank abroad where this fund would be transferred. we intend coming over there on the completion of this transfer to secure our own share of the money.

Please note that we have been careful and have made all arrangements towards the success and smooth transfer of the fund to your account before you. for security reasons and confidentiality of this transaction, we demand that you should not expose this proposal and the entire transaction to anybody.

We are putting so much trust in you with the hope that you would not betray us. or sit on this money when it is finally transferred into your account. Be rest assured that this transaction is 100% risk free. if this proposal is acceptable to you, indicate your interest by sending a email to us including your bank name & address, account number, telephone and fax
numbers.

Note: our former president Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo collaborated with  the former chairman of the economic financial crime commission , Mallam Nuhun Ribadu to stop the junior ranks officers from transferring funds out  of the country. he sent different publication to many countries in the world as propaganda to discourage all government officials from transferring funds into an overseas account to avoid and save guides the country's economy.

Apparently, so that other government officials will not benefits from these (oil windfalls venture) where he has been a culprit alone with his aides. More details about this transaction will be given to you as soon as we receive your positive respond.

Note that the particular nature of your company's business is irrelevant to this transaction. if this transaction interests you, your urgent response will be appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

Dr.Evans Egobia

How do find how many points you have?

Go to this link on WDFW site: Check Special Permit Drawing Results

https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/wa/specialhuntlookup

This will show the 2012 results (if you applied for any special permits last season any way, if you didn't apply last year though, it should show prior years results depending on how long ago since you last applied), then just add 1 point to each catagory for this years application.

In my case, mine shows results & point totals back to 2009.

Hope this helps.

This will show the 2012 results (if you applied for any special permits last season any way, not sure if it will work if you didn't apply last year though), then just add 1 point to each catagory for this years application.
You will only see points listed for species that you applied for. You can reference previous years as well.  Years prior to 2007 will show zero points. If you have never applied for a specie for which you have points accumulated, or have not applied since 2007 there is no way to find out your balance other than calling WDFW.

True, figured it would help give him a rough idea of what he had, without knowing his application history.   Would be nice if they added someting on their website we could reference for that purpose without having to actually call them.

Thanks ... I have 14

You are one point short. No need to contact him for "hunt info and terms." Try again next year.  :chuckle:

won't return my calls.   :P

Okay, i have 8 so is it possible put in with someone and maybe kill a 140 instead of a 170.  If 15 points is worth a 170, my eight has to be worth a 140-150. PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSEE. :chuckle:
