Hubby and I are watching (and  ) the Barrett Jackson auction....so...if money were no object, whats your dream car? Mine...prob a 65 Mustang convertible (manual)...Hubbys..prob a 39 Chevy. :)
-
65 or 66 ford mustang
-
I want a Shelby Cobra - not a replica the real thing and Hubby wants a 69 Mach 1 Mustang. Needless to say probably wil never have them
-
I've always wanted a Ferrari, been looking at them for quite some time just never pulled the trigger.
-
69 boss mustang, dropped 1" on the front. had one once. tried to get it back but was a no go. i loved that car.
-
41 Willys Coupe
-
For older cars it would have to be a 66 Chevelle SS and a 68 RS/SS Camaro.
-
Weve been amazed...as we are every year, at some of the steals people are getting on cars...watched a good looking 69 El Camino with a bamboo bed lining go for $29k
-
Car
62 vet
Rig
70 bronco
-
Weve been amazed...as we are every year, at some of the steals people are getting on cars...watched a good looking 69 El Camino with a bamboo bed lining go for $29k
Its way cheaper to buy one already restored than to do it yourself.

Yup...you loose the satisfaction of doing it yourself but you sure as heck can't beat the deal!
-
When you own, restore or build yourself- you get to drive them & most that have wont sell them. if i could get mine back(tried many times once i found it) i would be buryed in that thing

-
mopar muscle: 71 challenger
exotic sport: new Ferrari F-50 in classic Ferrari red

-
Right now i'm jones'n for the 2013 Laguana SECA Mustang............................ ;)

This is my dream car that I totally restored every single part last year as a winter project. It is a 1968 RS/SS Camaro. This picture in no way does the paint job justice. I have posted this before but thought it fit this thread. :)
-

Are you saying its not cheaper to buy one already restored?

Exactly!

Agreed, there is the satisfaction of doing it yourself, but my comment was explaining why you shouldn't be surprised at the killer deal. ;)

No dream "car" for me but i would rather a truck. Right now would be the current year Ford F-350 with the 6.7L Powerstroke. Long box, crew cab, 6in lift 37" Toyo MT's, some sort of black rims. Gun Metal Grey in color with a 6spd manual tranny.

Awesome  My dilemma would be buying one completely stock or buying one that was completely built from frame off with new modern drivetrain, paint, billet etc. I'd drive the later but would be afraid to drive a numbers matching stock ride.

I want these both back. In '81 had a 68 Buick Gran Sport with the 400 and a 4speed in high school. Sold it in '83 and bought a 70 chevelle SS with the LS6 454 and turbo 400. Small town Montana, me and those cars spent a lot of time at the old 1/4 mile. Both were great cars, made the mistake of getting rid of both of them for a truck. One day I'll have one of them back.

I had to rebuild every piece of wood in mine including the wooden steering wheel. After some people saw the steering wheel, I wound up selling those wooden things in the Hemmings magazine all over the country and even shipped one to Australia..

I have owned a 1969 olds 442, 1969 chevelle ss396, and a 1957 willies wagon. I think the olds with the 455 was the best, that thing could flat destroy a set of tires.
I would like a 1970.5 comaro z28.
I'm sure just before I retire I will treat myself to a new corvette.

OH YEAH BABY! 1969 was THE YEAR for the juice. I cant think of a hot '69 i didnt ride or drive back in the day. Man; if the kids today could experience that stuff. You could buy an asphalt tearin road stripper for 5 - 6 grand.

My father inlaw had the 69 camaro 4 speed with the 302, I forget the code x11 or something like that. Thats about what he paid for it new. Sure it would be worth a few hundred K now.

We have a 95 mustang convertable v8 and I love driving it. Paid 4.5K for it with less than 40,000 miles on it. So if money was no object I 'd rather have a 4door 4X4 3/4ton for hauling horses, traveltrailer attatched with pushouts and not have to worry about gas milage. My husband can chose the make or model.

1966-1977 Bronco

1966 Shelby GT350
The fastback?
Pretty sure that's the only way they came.
In my mind, it's the red one with the white racing stripes.

Some beautiful cars going across the stage, that place is a car lovers wet dream. I can spend all day walking around there checking out those rides.
-
Hubby and I are watching (and  ) the Barrett Jackson auction....so...if money were no object, whats your dream car? Mine...prob a 65 Mustang convertible (manual)...Hubbys..prob a 39 Chevy. :)
I've restored a 'few' Mustangs. I've owned one Corvette. One vintage Camaro. One Dodge Demon with a rare combination of dealer prepped engine/transmission/differential/color scheme. I traded it for a paint job and body work on a 67 Mustang. I've owned a big block Impalla I wish I still had. I have a 63 V8 5spd hotrod Falcon in the shop. My dream car? I love Corvettes (except the C4's), but I'd kill for a 68 GT500 KR, or a 66 Cobra (small block). I'd race both in vintage events. And I'd trade paint to win!

We all have bad days and get a little grumpy but you have been in the "Autos, Boats, Campers, Power Sports" section all evening it looks like. And just like a TV channel you can choose to change it if you don't want to see it. :twocents:
:yeah:
So guess we should quit talking politics & sports too....pffft...
-

Haha.........I would guess maybe 1/6 - 1/8 of this forum hunt ducks and geese. Along with upland and of course the year around animals...they are the only things that are open. This would be a VERY boring forum if we only talked about hunting :P

Trading 57 chevys for drum sets, 68 deep purple z28, and too many more to list, racing along the river in richland, rebuilding your tranny on a regular basis that you have it down to a couple hours........the 70s sounded good to me

-
mid 60s shelby cobra

I always wanted one of these.I pulled the stock 400 and had a hard time finding a 455 so i built a 462 ci stroker out of a 400 block and reworked some 5c heads .While i was at it i put a redneck 3400 stall and some 3.42 gears in it. The only problem is finding traction. :chuckle:

Range Rover / German Engineered
1972 Chevy Nova 2 Door

I never was much of a car guy, I've always driven pickups or a few SUVs. Lots of great cars listed on this thread, but for me it would by my old '77 Chevy shortbox back in pristine condition or a Ford Raptor (and the ranch to park it on of course).
-
'70 Chevelle SS
'69 GTO Judge
'66 Mustang
'01 F350 Super duty 7.3L
'10 Audi C6 S6 5.2
Realistically the truck is the only thing I will get in my lifetime.

Didn't one of the Dick Tracy villains drive one of those?
-
I don't really dream about cars. If today's trail can shopping is any lesson, that's probably a good thing for me. Too many hobbies!
-
Had a '68 Super Bee , 69 Roadrunner , and a '70 Charger. Charger was my favorite
-
The pic of the Charger is one that sold on Ebay for $88K
-
My trooper has been an awesome little hunting rig, but motor is ready to blow, I've been looking for another trooper to replace it.
My current big truck is a 2003 F-350 Crewcab 7.3, I'm pretty happy with it, pulls the 6 horse trailer at full speed on the freeway, gets to incredible places with all four chained up, or works pretty good as a butcher table. :chuckle:
When I wear out the Ford I might like to find a low mileage 2000-2005 manual tranny 3500 Dodge with the Cummins.
-
I just love the new Sting Ray.
-
sumthin that starts everytime I get in it!!!
then drives.

Audi R8!!

I would have to say that right now my dream car would be a brand new Tundra with all the bells and whistles, leveling kit, canopy and an engine that gets at least 50 mpg. If we are dreaming then might as well dream big. :chuckle:
-
2014 Vette $53k and 460 HP. My boat has more HP than that. Never been a Vette guy. Always liked the Camaro more. After the GM Obama-Union rip off I will never purchase another GM product. Really like most of the Cadillac too. Southern USA built Toyota Tundra for me. Lexus is always a safe bet for luxury and performance.
:twocents:
-
I had a 69' SS 396 Camaro and a 70' Chevelle, Wish I still had the Camaro.
I would like a new 2014 Z28 Camaro
-
1970 Olds Cutlass with the 442!
-
69 BOSS or just about any 69 big block muscle car, for and new would be the prototype old school bronco.
-
i would buy my dad a cherried out 69 SS camaro, he bought one brand new off the showroom floor when he was 18, he saved up his own money unloading rail cars down at day island marina, he sold it later on in life because him and mom were broke even though he put in 50 to 60 hours a week, kids are expensive.... mine is a 76 ford f250 factory highboy with a one ton frame and the 3/4 ton body, dana front and rear with the big knuckle front joints with about a 4 in lift, ford deep metalic blue with brand new chrome trim package and a bad boy bose sound system, i had one at one time when i was in the army except the bose system, i as well sold it when my wife had no money and i couldnt afford to commute it from graham to seatac, i of course have the money now but no truck :'( :'(
-
Audi R8!!
I drove the V-10 5.2 Quatro last summer but have not been able to drive the 4.2 V-8 yet, very fun car.
Too many toys to dream about and not enough time or garage space. I'd love a 66 Chevelle SS all redone with newer gear.
-
I have always wanted a Chevy nova II. Not restored just pulled from the barn wash the dust off and cram the biggest baddest big block motor in it that would fit. Beef up the rear end with gears and a locker maybe a mini tub for some fat Micky It's. Total sleeper/ grocery getter. If I ever get tired of building Jeeps this will be the next build.

Just can't decide between the Ferrari F12 or a McLaren P1.

I would have to say 68 cougar
-
1968 Chevelle. That I am restoring.

My all time favorite is a 62' Vette, first year of the 327. Just perfect in every way in my opinion, a true classic. I also like the early 60's Chevy Biscayne or Impala bubble top with the 409. As a young man during the height of the muscle car era (too bad some of you missed it :chuckle:), I had a 1957 Chevy Belaire just exactly like the one below except mine had black and red interior and was the rarer two door post Belaire. Probably not a prettier black car ever made. Hard to not like as well as an all time classic.

1956 Chev Nomad, have wanted one since high school. When Benny lit up his rubber in front of the school and the keg went out the rear window. Old days, you remember the cool things.

I would like to have my 55 C10 Chev back, my first vehicle and a gift when I graduated Stadium HS back in the day.
-
I would love to have my 73 DODGE Dart Swinger back. I would replace that old 318 with a 383 and have some real fun. Slate grey with a black vinyl top.
-
1970 Chevy Chevelle SS 396
-
hey wadu1...a 55 C10 chev...when did you graduate from sta high? I had a 59 rambler with fold down seats that was perfect for the ol drive inn...but that was in 68.

Stole this pic off auto trader....

Ford keeps teasing about an early 70's concept for a new Bronco for nearly 10 years now. And since they have completely ruined the Explorer I'm wanting to see it actually happen this time! I like old cars to look at, but my dream car is one that drives nice too. So, for the moment anyway, my dream car is a new Bronco with old Bronco appeal.
-
UGLY IMHO
-
The top 2 are cars that my Dad owned and sold the week that I got my learners permit. I wound up with a 1972 Boss 302 custom coupe instead. The last pic is my other dream car.

Saw a pretty nice old one today at Home Depot.

I sort of liked that 2004 concept. Much better than the 2012 concept IMO. The latest concept that I am aware of crosses the Rover with the old Bronco. Not sure if this concept is Ford's or a fans dream :dunno: But it is the latest I've seen. A cross between it and the 2004 might be sweet. Could do more of a Raptor Bronco fusion :o
-
Just hope the rumors are not true and Ford isn't thinking of completely abandoning the Bronco concept and replacing it with the Troller :puke:

The one I posted looks too much like a Honda Element.... I do like the Ford Raptor/Bronco Cross Bread Idea. Raptors were marketed as a factory issued trail rated rig. If I was in the market to spend 50k on a truck a raptor would be high on my list of options. Although it seems like I see a lot of Pavement Queen Raptors running down the freeway. Why buy a rig with all the tools to go places to drive were the Prius' go?

Knuckle head Harley. Ive owned ironhead, evos and a shovel.... Id love to own one, with a mouse trap on it.
Chopped.

So as a teenager I had this 1971 Plymouth Duster candy apple red with the cragar wheels, etc. and got t boned and subsequently was totaled. I was very sad. And later in life I kept having recurring dreams about going through junk yards to find this car. Enter the new century and a CL ad, and although not my dream car, it is a likeness of the car in my dreams. It is my ride today to work.
-
and yes Conrad has taken me for a ride :IBCOOL:

I have a new must have favorite car/ bike  its the new hover bike, but I want the one that goes up to 10,000 ft and does 173 mph  :dunno:  hell yeah baby!!! I live in Graham but work in seatac and have for 15 plus years, the commute is damn near worth puttn a bullet in he old noggin :chuckle: but i could lift off from work at 3:30 go up to 2,000 ft hit 173 mph and be home in less than5 minutes, yeah i would say thats better than my hour and fifteen minute commute now wouldn't ya say :chuckle:

At my age, a SCION.
