Went looking for elk, fog was so thick it was like pea soup. Then this little guy popped up right in front of me.
-
cool pic! I was up in the Entiat yesterday and it was also really foggy. It sucked because it reduced the distance for perfect photos.

Very cool pictures! about 2 years ago i was in my tree stand and got video of one playing around in a slash pile. Very fun to watch.

Dude, thats awesome. What fun. I ran into one on Wenas creek, but I was too slow. I am surprised of his coloring.

I've seen a half dozen or so while cougar hunting this winter and they were all completely white except for eyes and nose. Unusual coloring from what I'm used to seeing on this one in your photos.

Hunt
That is AWSOME. good catch there!

Nice shot! They are fun to watch and pretty fearless. My Dad used to trap them in northern Canada during the great depression. Got .25 each for the skins. That would buy a box of .22 shells.

Thanks everyone... Yes, he was quite the little character, he kept poking his head up and dropping back down, then decided I was not a bigfoot that was gonna eat him, so he stood right up and looked at me for a few moments.
He finally ran off to a rock pile that afforded more protection.

I want him!! :o ... Awesome pictures!

had a guy come to where I work earlier today looking for a mutual friend who traps them because he was missing 2 chickens heads this morning & said tracks too small for skunk or racoon :chuckle:

Could be a mink as well. Those weasels can sure get through a small hole, luckily we only have mink and coons here. At least when they just take the heads you can still have chicken for dinner. :chuckle:
