Me and a few buddy's went on a grouse hunt in Elbe. The hunting was great but I was not happy with the long drive! I hear about people hunting along the lower carbon river but I am curious if its even legal. Anybody know a nice spot I can hunt coyotes or upland birds with my 20 gauge in my area other than lewis. Btw I am 16 years old.

I believe that lower carbon area is owned by pierce county or the old owner of cascadia on the Bonney lake side or east side. The walking trail on the west side is used by a lot of walkers and bike riders (mountain bike), I don't think you can hunt down there but I'm not positive. Your better off buying the hancock pass and selling the 5 cords of wood to make up for the cost of the permit. Tehala, which I believe may own a lot of the land down by the lower carbon has security and game wardens patrolling a lot of the time now.

You mean north bog right!!? :chuckle: for ducks maybe. Just buy a Hancock pass and you will be fine.

you can get a permit to hancock they sell them for 300$ there lots of blue grouse up there my dad and I jump a group of three while driving along a road manage to get one of them and was fine eating :tup:
