Went hunting yesterday. Went out to a small lake by Othello that has a small blind set up on the bank. Lake was mostly frozen but had some empty spots. All I took were two Mallard drake decoys. No birds where flying around so I wasn't calling much but all of a sudden when i started to slouch down in my chair I saw a duck flying in about 5 feet above the ice. Grabbed my shotgun and shot it once it got close enough, down it went. After shooting that one I noticed the second one and followed it with my shotgun and took a steady shot and down that one went. Waded out and grabbed them and they were a male and female Green Winged Teal. Pretty sure they were lovers. Remi is my puppy, she didn't retreive them but I let her pose next to them. She's about 4 months old.

Congrats! Teal are always fun to shoot

Good shooting, I like the dog's expression. I hope the dog got to retrieve them from your yard. That looks like the right age to follow a trail, tie a string to one and drag it for the pup leaving it for retrieving. I like goofy brown dogs too.
