I really miss having a boat on the water. My Arima 17 doesn't have any power right now, but it will soon I hope. One of my favorite things is boat photography. If you have some, let's see what you got!
-
Kind of hard to get pics of your own boat when you're on it, here is a pic of Cohoho's T-jet before he sold it.
-
Here is a couple of pics of one of mine. She is for sale if anyone is interested.
All decorated up for Halloween.

Perty girl. How long is she?
-
Thanks. 34'. She has new twin Yanmar diesels. According to the folks who run the Tollycraft club, she has the most power of any 34 that they know of.

We had a little 26' sailboat for a few years. It was a little slow, but we had a lot of fun camping trips in the islands. My son learned to sail at an early age. Sailed me back to Anacortes from Sucia one time when I had a mild concussion from hitting my head on the boom. We also did a lot of canoeing when the kids were young.

Lost the cover for your T-8?
-
No, why?
-
No, why?
Just wondering why you have a T-8 cowelling for a pull start on a electric start engine?
-
It is just an F-8. Pull start only.
-
Our second Uniflite, home away from home when the wall tent isn't pitched for elk camp! It's taken us through small craft advisories in the Straits without missing a beat. Everything in the cabin ended up on the floor but the boat just kept on chugging along. It's a great boat.
-

Gotcha, it looks like a hole and wires in the front, rather than a pull crank. ;)

Awesome little motor! I have 2 of them and have never had a seconds worth of trouble.

Yep. I'm not sure which strain (Kentucky, Tennessee or Alabama) spotted bass that they planted in Shasta. They are all very similar. I find it funny that the Fish & Wildlife Dept. in Cal brought in strains from Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Texas and Michigan to start their breeding programs. Most So. Cal lakes had Florida and Texas strains while Central Cal was more Texas, Kentucky and Tennessee. LOL!

My understanding was that it was the only strain of bass that could survive well in the man made resivors with the ever changing depth in the lake. Prior to being in California I grew up in Minnesota fishing for what ever their bass are...I think they are native. BTW awesome boat shots by everyone.

Two of my kids being goofy on Onadoga Lake near Syracuse, NY. (The look on my youngest one kills me) And of course my favorite way to be on the water, paddling with my little ladies.

For those that have never seen Boneaddict before, the first pic is him fighting a sturgeon, and then the kids trout fishing at Sun Lakes.

Hey, I know that photo....  Was looking for it but all the photos I had on my external hard drive dumped and appears unrecoverable... Lots of cool pictures from family, AK and memories, gone, gone, gone.... :( Had a couple folks (hard core computer geeks) try and extract data, ever they even replaced the power system on the drive itself and still nothing but a blank drive.... Word to the wise back up those externals with an additional external...

I helped out the school here recently, they had a canoeing field trip so we took all the kiddies out canoeing. The park service put it on, not a bad day.

One of the greatest places to have a house! We sailed through Lopez Pass one morning in 20 knot wind on a broad reach. It was awesome. Love it out there & I can't wait to get my boat up and running for some fishing & camping! Maybe stop & visit you and Lokidog one day!

Here's a shot I took in Echo Bay back in 2005. I love seeing the tall ships.
I had a cool experience many years ago. I was fishing by myself off the sunken jetty out of Westport on a very foggy day. I was in my 13 1/2 foot inflatable. While drifting, I heard a big Boom, couldn't figure out what the heck it was. Then, out of the fog, two sailing ships emerged firing their cannons at each other, OMG, what I would not have given for a video camera back then. One of them was the ship I think used in the movie Master and Commander, which has since sunk. I didn't even have a camera with me, but it will be something I remember forever.

Very cool. We saw them shooting, but not in the same setting with fog. That musta been cool.

Man, I hate otters! I had one get into my boathouse a couple of years ago and crap all over everything. A couple got into a boat a couple of houses down and set up camp in the aft stateroom. What a stinking mess! :bash:
-
Where did the water go? I waited until 1am for it to come back up. At least I had a axe and plenty of fire wood :chuckle:
-
That's cool Bear Hunter. Did you have plenty of grub and a sleeping bag? Looks like a great place to camp.

NO grub,No sleeping bag and NO on camping. Very very cold. LOL It wasn't that bad I just had to wait for the tide to come up. At least it was a nice sun set LOL.

Here's our boat tonight just before sunset.

Its the Sky and we pull out there and put in at the Big Eddy. A couple pretty skinny spots put those Lavros go right on thru. That picture was taking this last January, cold, cold, cold but the heaters made it pretty dang nice. :dunno:

Got a free canoe from my supervisor, it was just sitting for about 10 years outside of his house so we spent hours scrubbing the aluminum and making our first lil boat as perttty as possible :)

Oh yeah, absolutely love it!
I have major boat-envy though of these pics in this post! can't wait to get a real one some day -a girl can dream- ;D
-
In time....some days I'd trade mine for the canoe.....my first boat was a leaky 12 ft v bottom with a 9.9 on the back. I got rear ended and it just smashed it.....boy did I cry over that one. I was crushed. Now...bigger boat, bigger bills....
-
MLHSN you da man! I love my pack boat too. Wish they still made them, I'd buy another just for backup. 3 lbs is worth it's weight in gold on a backpack trip if you want to ensure you get to stuff your self with trout.

Oh no! Lol.. poor guy :P that would suck though. I'd be heartbroken as well if our canoe got destroyed in some way </3, even when we move on to bigger and better - definitely going to keep her.

My first hunt on Cypress island. I was drawn for a 2nd deer and have never hunted the island. So I packed up some camping gear and headed over. I didn't even setup camp. I was wanting to hunt so I beached the boat took off to find a deer. With in a couple houndred yards. I found a 3x3 bedded down. I smoked him with my smoker pole. He didn't even move, and as I walked over to him there was another 3pt that ran off. I loaded the deer and was home by 3:30pm.

Doesn't anyone boat with scantily clad hot women?

Bear Hunter, that is clutch. I've always wanted to do that hunt. Might need to try it. I was in the canoe with my buddy floating the Stilly when he took an archery blacktail with his bow. We were drifting by and he made a great shot from the bow. GREAT fun!
