Title: 20sf 10mm gen3 or gen4 * Purchased!!!*
Post by: HuntandFish on January 29, 2013, 02:52:04 PM: What's everybody's thoughts on this? I have found a G20sf for a good price it's a gen3 though. And to be honest I am not a glock guy and want to know if everyone thinks its worth the extra cost and hassle of trying to track down a Gen4?

lotta more stuff out there for the Gen 3 and given the current 2A debacle we're in, gen 4 stuff might not be as common in the future shoud you feel a desire to upgrade stuff.

Your first purchase for that gun should be for a new barrel - visit http://www.lonewolfdist.com/ (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/) and plop down a hundy+ for a 10mm barrel so you can shoot the big stuff with more accuracy and shoot jacketed, plated and lead as well.

Also, for the big stuff you need a stiffer recoil spring.

Post by: jackelope on January 30, 2013, 12:05:44 PM: Gen4 will have changeable back straps to change the grip size too. If you're not comfortable with the grip size of a Glock, the 4 might be better for you.

Post by: high country on January 30, 2013, 08:44:18 PM: I just bought a gen 3 at white elephant in Spokane, $550 with two high caps. I added night sights at $80 and will be fitting a barsto barrel....and springs of course. Plan on killing a bear or deer with it this year.

High Country- what barrel length are you going to get from barsto? I am thinking of ordering up a 6.5".

High Country- Keep me posted on what you find out with your new barrel. I also still need to pick your brain on loads/misc. for my 329pd :) It seems we have similar tastes in firearms!
