What's everybody's thoughts on this? I have found a G20sf for a good price it's a gen3 though. And to be honest I am not a glock guy and want to know if everyone thinks its worth the extra cost and hassle of trying to track down a Gen4?
Thanks!

Gen 4 takes different mags, was told that was why they give 3 mags.
-
personally I'd go with gen 3 especially in a G20 or G20 SF since they were the last to roll out with the gen 4 platform.
lotta more stuff out there for the Gen 3 and given the current 2A debacle we're in, gen 4 stuff might not be as common in the future shoud you feel a desire to upgrade stuff.
Your first purchase for that gun should be for a new barrel - visit http://www.lonewolfdist.com/ (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/) and plop down a hundy+ for a 10mm barrel so you can shoot the big stuff with more accuracy and shoot jacketed, plated and lead as well.

Also, for the big stuff you need a stiffer recoil spring.

Mazama, Care to pm me with this info? I'm interested in where you have found this. I currently have a G29SF and am in the market for a G20.
Oh, and I'm not wanting to snake your find out from under you. Just wondering if they have more than one, or are able to get more. Orrrrrrr, if you have an interest in a possible trade?
Thanks.

This is basically the same info I'm looking for. I also have never been a glock fan, but am really interested in getting a 10mm. Just tagging to follow

Gen4 will have changeable back straps to change the grip size too. If you're not comfortable with the grip size of a Glock, the 4 might be better for you.

This is a g19 but you get the idea. (https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F01%2F31%2Fvy5a3eme.jpg&hash=33442cf51fbccca2101bc0d8120d4721090614f5)

I was in sportco Tacoma, week after shooting, gun couter person told me,I have gen1 glock wanted to get a newer one so i could put a crimson trace on.
-
I would go with the gen 3. But I have big hands. The interchangeable backstrap would be nice if the gen 3 is too big.
-
Thanks for the input everyone! Gen3 it is, now to try and get down there and pick it up before there gone (they had 2) and I know I'm pushing it waiting this long...
Now to find some ammo!
Thanks,

I have a gen3 g20 but am looking for a gen4 and will be selling my gen3 after I get it.
-
Have you checked BigR in Colville?
I seen some in there, but I didn't look close enough to see if they were the Gen 4 or not.
-
I called kesslring in Burlington am they said that they will not have a shipment of gloves in until march.
-
oh sorry thought you were over here.
-
Oh no worries, I wish I was over there to be honest.
I wouldn't be against driving to that side to get one though
-
I think the marksmen in puyallup has them. Gen 3's anyway.
-
Do they make it in that sexy green/brown color?
-
Yes, I am interested in the sexy green/brown color as well! Maybe I should order one if this is an option. I have always wanted a 2 tone pistol! I checked glocks website but couldn't find info on this.....
Thanks,

I just bought a gen 3 at white elephant in Spokane, $550 with two high caps. I added night sights at $80 and will be fitting a barsto barrel....and springs of course. Plan on killing a bear or deer with it this year.
-
Well I just picked up a Gen3! Excited to get out and shoot it!
They had 1 other one in the case if anyone was looking for one let me know and I'll let you know the shop!
High Country- what barrel length are you going to get from barsto? I am thinking of ordering up a 6.5".
Thanks,
H&F

I've done business with lonewolf dist and had good luck, might be another source for ya.
Have fun with that beast
-
I am going to get a 6" or so and start chronographing and cut it back bit by bit till I like it.
-
I will look into lonewolf barrels as well.
High Country- Keep me posted on what you find out with your new barrel. I also still need to pick your brain on loads/misc. for my 329pd :) It seems we have similar tastes in firearms!
Thanks,
