Title: LCR 357 maiden run, and 100yd shooting, and now 200yds
Post by: JohnVH on January 31, 2013, 08:27:08 PM
Finally got a chance to take one shooting, 38 special and 357 mag, awesome little pistol, I figured the 357's would hurt more than they did. Absolutely no regrets. I Initially was going to buy the Taurus 605 poly protector, but nobody had one, so I got this instead, I really wish it had a hammer exposed, but you can get used to this pretty fast. First time this pistol has been shot.

I'm all over the LCR in 38 or 357; but i want the 357. No hammer; no prob; nuthin to hang up on. My hunting partner carries the 38+p with crimson trace in the field. Whats not to love? 15oz's of backup!

That thing is a sweet ride.  Been looking for the last 2 months and they are nowhere to be found.  Had you told me you had one....we could have just traded the derringer straight across   :chuckle: :chuckle:

Thanks for sharing the video

I picked up one pf these this summer. The bites not nearly as bad as youde think for a 17 oz gun, but the blowback is really somethin else.compared to most revolvers ive shot.

whats the blowback? First cylinder of 357's I thought, dang, it almost hurts, but after that I think I held higher on the grip, and didnt really notice the rest as bad.

Nice looking gun.  With that short barrel I'm not too sure you'd hear the metal ping with me on the trigger.  Good shooting.

Very nice!  I have a 38+P LCR and I wouldn't want to shoot 357 out of it even if I could!

Why would you bother shooting a gun like that at 200 yards?  The gun is made for personal defense.  If the guy you shoot is more than arm's length away, you're going to be charged with murder!   :twocents:
