The first pic is a nice respectable five point and the second was 17 5 point or better bulls in a herd. During a scouting trip in June for my cow hunt for late modern. Not a clear pic of the herd and not all visible due to trees but that was unreal to watch that many bulls.

Last friday.
I was up there on Saturday. Here is one from earlier Saturday morning, yes those are almost all big bulls. Forty of them came out of the trees and down the hill for their hand out, it was quite a sight.

Here's a picture of a bull that I took last year while archery hunting, believe it or not he was sleeping, it looked like the one side was dead  nothing there, it was in a true spike area

True spike area?  If that's the case, then you harvested that elk illegally according to the Regs.  "True Spike Bull Restrictions: Bull elk taken in these units must have BOTH antlers with no branching originating more than four inches above where the antlers attach to the skull......."  Page 45 of the Regs.

Taking pictures is perfectly legal. At least last time I checked.

Awesome picture Anderson

Why do some people always have to make negative  comments, if you read my post it says I took this picture of a sleeping Elk, what part of that don't you understand canyelk48
guess I could have rephrased it better, didn't know we had grammar police on here

Hilarious.  You should have said he was taking a dirt nap.  Then maybe it would have been less confusing for some people...

Cool shots guys. Here is one from last elk season, third morning of the hunt, five point. Sorry its not that great of shot, it was snowing and I was shaking quite a bit. Taking these shots is difficult enough in good conditions  :chuckle:
