I have been deer hunting with my grandfather for a few years and now he can't get out much... He never knew about bear hunting but I've always been interested. I'm not new to WA but I have no idea where to begin looking for bear. I know this time of year they are out looking for berries which is a what I think I should be looking for but I'm not sure where the bear are? Im in the Redmond area and am willing to drive up to two hours away. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be so helpful! From what I've heard I was going to look in the clearcuts around Greenwater or head south to Capital Forest? But I have no idea what roads to take...
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Welcome to the site.
Bone gave good advice...head to the mountains...look for berries. I wouldnt drive all the way over to Capital Forest if you live in redmond...we got lots of mountains around us here.
Good luck.
