Title: my new bowtech insanity
Post by: demontang on February 08, 2013, 08:53:39 PM
So I work with bows a lot now and I fell in love with the g5 primal bow. I ordered one in and it had a bent cam :dunno: I think it had been dry fired at the shop I ordered it from. So while waiting for a replacement I ran to my bowtech dealer and ended up leaving with an insanity cpx 70lb. I put a smackdown trophy taker, spothogg sdp, a red rad peep, and of course a red dloop. I still need to really tune but set at 67lbs, 30" dl and a 412gr arrow it flat shoots throw my block target  :yike: with my third shot out of the bow I managed to ruin 2 of my gold tip series 22 with a robinhood  :'(. So far the insanity is a fast solid bow with a rock solid wall and very little vibration

Cool, congrats on the new stick slinger. That does seem to be the problem with the newer, faster bows. You can't stop arrows with them. My buddy has the G5 Primal and has three targets back to back.

I know cabelas has them and the local pro shop here does roo. They are great for stopping fast hard hitting bows or crossbows.

Got my Insanity last Feb.  I love it!!!  I practice and feel comfortable shooting at 100yards, most of my shooting is betwwen 50 and 75 yards so when you are shooting at 20-40 it feels like a no brainer shot...

Started sighting in my bow after I got the paper tune done. My middle pin is 65yards on my spot hog sdp. I managed a 4 inch group of 4 arrows and then a 3" group of two before it got to windy. :IBCOOL:
