Title: WOLF HUNTING
Post by: Trophy Hunter on September 25, 2008, 01:56:42 PM: I know this is a Washington sight, but does anybody know the updates on the wolf hunting this year in Idaho.
I have never bagged a wold and next year I would like to try and score a tag.

Post by: andrew_12gauge on September 25, 2008, 03:46:49 PM: some *censored* judge over in montana put a hold on all seasons about 2-3 months back now and tuesdays paper had an article saying that they are likely to be put back on the endangered species list within the next year, i guess the tree-hugging granola munchers are gonna win this one

Post by: andrew_12gauge on September 25, 2008, 04:04:45 PM: i sure hope so but after reading the article the other day with quotes frow federal bios about how the wolf population isnt where they need it to be nor will it ever be because of suitable habitat and they are rethinking their decision on delisting wolves in the northern rockies it kinda worries me

Post by: 300rum on September 25, 2008, 04:07:27 PM: It is funny how they don't think there is enough and then delist and then they wan to relist and they "weren't sure" if they were in Washington up until a few weeks ago. :dunno: And they call themselves biologists.

Passion has the right idea, predator control! Our forefathers weren't stupid when they thinned the wolves and Grizzlies down to manageable #'s.

Post by: saylean on September 28, 2008, 09:56:54 AM: The judges thought process was that although the population was 4times where it was needed to be (as per the tree huggers requests) before it was to be delisted, the density was too thin, therefore, it would make it hard for breeding pairs to find one another, hence the decision.

You ask me, its BS, but that is what I read in this months American Hunter.
