Gotta love this!
-
yup i am with you... i am also on that side of the fence with quads and hunting..HOWEVER...
my brother and i have done lots of research for our hunt and will only be riding the 4x4 jeep trails TO our hunting spots then we will be hiking the rest of the way. We are young and dont need a quad all day. but it is a really huge help when gettin an animal out or to get to the high country.
i hear ya
:hello:
-
Youre too young to be lazy, get off off ass and hike! Jeep trail or not, quads have no place in the woods during hunting season. But that is just my grumpy ass opinion. Us old timers who have had to pack our critters for miles every year kinda get crotchety about quads especially in wilderness areas.
-
Its gonna be hard to shoot something without a bolt in that rifle! :chuckle:
-
QUADS :pee:
-
dude dont be bitter...
my tag is when there is no one else in the woods for any general season.
i hike my ass off when necesarry. we have three tags to fill and not a lot of time to do it so we are trying to make the best of it and cover a ton of ground.
sorry you dont agree but i can assure you i am a hiker not a rider.
-
HA HA i had just got back from the range and had to have the bolt out.
but way to notice :-)
-
Dude, you think a gun rack will help you hit tail...? :)
Sorry, couldn't resist.
-
what ever ha ha
TRAIL!!!
-
Im bitter because I dont have 3 BULL tags and a nice quad! :chuckle: I do like how you converted the rifle to a muzzleloader! Lol
I climed Mt Adams in one day from the parking lot and back. Went up Rainier and many others as well. I can prove that I can hike with the best, under load.
Does that mean I wouldent use a quad if legal to get in aways. NOT. Surprised some of these old foggies can even find the internet...Lol
Go get em...
-
HA HA HA
thanks buddy.....
trust me im only using the resources cause i have access to them.
and dont worry i will do us hunters proud.
:-)
-

[/quotemost folk in the area you are going dont like the quads unless your packing out the game.those trails go through alot of good hunting areas that these guys hike into,if your going to ride in I woulnt walk away from it.chances are someone might shoot it for ya.I bring a 700 polaris with me but it stays at camp.let me know where your going to be my buds got a tag and acow tag.
-
i can assure you where and when we go there will no be many people around.
unless you have a bull tag you cant hunt when we are there.
we will be camping at sleepy meadows i think and the areas will change day to day.
i am not trying to be one of those jack ass riders that ruin hunting areas, but i am doing what ever it takes this year to get a bull and if that means riding a quad to the top of the earth at 430 am then thats what ill be doing.
:P

Hopfully we will have some animals hanging.
we will be there on the Oct 17th thru Nov 2nd....my dad will be there at least for that long. may have to come back to work a day or so then head back. My name is mike and i drive a toyota 4 runner silver.
my dad could use a visitor oct 27th-the-31st...where is your base camp at?
-
well, did the quad help with your group's 3 tagw or did you freeze tag soup for the winter.
it was a tough season for most any bull tag holders. We managed to fill our 2 but it took a lot of work and hiking into areas where quad/ATVs were not allowed.
-
all 3 tag soup :-(
-
That sucks Mike but I am in the same condition. Oh well, it's a new year!!
-
So...did the quad help you get your bull? Why did you have to take the bolt out coming from the range?
