Getting to be the best time of the year for area 9 as the bait spawn is about to happen. Been waiting and waiting, and now they are lowering the limit.
I have to trailer 45 mins to get up there and have been waiting for the winds to calm.
Guess Ill put the gear away and go steelheading instead. Id rather spend my money and time C and Ring Steelies than trying for 1 blackie....
Reasoning is as of Feb 25th I believe we went over the quota in Area 9....

Glad you posted this , who would have thought . I'm with you on that .....this is what they wrote """"According to preliminary estimates, anglers had kept or released 1,737 chinook in Marine Area 9 as of Feb. 24 """" The quota estimate was some 1615 .
I wish my buddy had river boat already , finally I made him to start a fund after about 6 years or so and maybe in 10 years he will buy super vee or something .

And if we already exceeded the quota, why is it staying open anyway?
