YES, get rid of the tubing peep. You will not have to worry about it breaking in the field and you will lose that tubing twang at the shot.

You trying to meet up one day down there? Ive been looking for a buddy to shoot with at TSC as im only about 2 minutes from there. Havent went yet because lack of knowledge on how the club works. Full member though.

If you don't already have one get a D loop and use the aligning peep. You should have no problems with it after that.

It's either too short, too old, or both... the UV breaks down the tubing and it becomes brittle, I just replace it once a year before it breaks and never have a problem.

I agree with getting a tubeless peep. Take a little time getting it set right where you want it and you shouldn't have to worry about it.

:yeah:

A good archery shop can set you up without needing a tube.

If you stick with the tubing, pull it off and the plastic with a little 440 grit. Sounds like you have a burr somewhere if your going through tubing that fast. That said, my vote is to lose the tube.....

Lose it!

Take off the rubber, and get a new one prob solved

Had the same problem on my Mathews Z7. It was several shots before it broke, but eventually always did. I suspect it was the speed of the bow slinging that rubber around and causing it to whiplash. Went to the Anchor Sight. Now no peep. No need to align anything...except the bow.
