Post by: Hornseeker on September 30, 2008, 07:05:57 PM: Thats the thing..being a hound hunter, I know that momma would never get hold of that wolf! Very, Very rarely anyhow...and I'll be danged if that wolf wasn't dang near as big as her! She might have had her paws full!

Add 1 more wolf..and that situation could have been ugly for the 3 bears... add 2 more wolves and it would have been real ugly (well...momma would have turned tail and boogied surely)

The wolf was trying to get the cub to chase him out just a little farther from mom, then it would have been cub for dinner. I've watched coyotes do the exact thing with dogs.
