I've got a trip planned to Oregon In July for a camping trip by the beach. I know the population of rabbit there is INSANE and I want to pick me off a few maybe with my bow.
My question is, Does anyone know anything about the Oregon regulations on this? I tried to look at theyre pdf of odfw but It just talks about fur-bearers/trapping. Not sure if that applies to what I'm wanting to do.
Plink Plink I just want to eat a few rabbits and get some nice looking furs. :archer:
If anyone knows Id like to know the price its going to cost me for "if possible" the 3-5 Day Non-residential small game license for Oregon.
Cheers.

I believe you would need a non-resident hunting license, at a cost of $140.

Is that for game animals? Or small game?

Both. I don't see anything for just small game, or for only a few days. They have a 3 day non resident bird license for $26.50. But as you know, rabbits aren't birds.
So you're stuck with the only option being an annual license for $140.
I could be wrong. That's just what I'm seeing.

Thats a great post but It didnt really help. Im looking for legality and prices. Im not cool with paying 150$ to kill a rabbit. 55$ maybe. But I cant find anywhere even in the manual that has the info Im looking for.

Good enough then. The legality stuff is all there, and it states you need a hunting license. Go here:
http://www.dfw.state.or.us/resources/licenses_regs/hunting_trapping.asp#Small (http://www.dfw.state.or.us/resources/licenses_regs/hunting_trapping.asp#Small)
1/4 of the way down, the hunting license is listed at $140 for non-residents.
So it looks like Bobcat is right. Just be careful you don't stump shoot and ruin $140 worth of arrows.

Yeah your right, Jeesh If I was gonna fork down $140 I might as well find me a bigger game animal in season and make it worth it :bash:

You wanna hunt elk in Oregon- that'll be about $700. :yike:
I agree, it seems like they ought to have a cheaper alternative for someone who just wants to kill a couple rabbits.

Are rabbits even open season in July? :dunno: (I know in this state rabbit season just closed last week and won't open until September).

I'd pay it if I were going down there to do nothing but hunt rabbits for 3-4 days. Thats good fun. Probably not worth it if you've got other stuff to do while you're there though.
