Seven point Imperial Elk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS18GD5YlxU#)
Last year I had two 6x6 come to my cam but this guy makes them look like deer.

Nice!

Nice, very nice

Wow, that guy is awesome!
-
would be really nice if he would drop those antlers right there and come back later for the hunt.. :EAT:

There was one poached last year down there. Word gets out and next thing you know someone poaches them. Also happened about 8 yrs ago to a big bull lucky they caught him. He was a habitual poacher.
-
I know right. The ghost. Only way to see these beast is with a cam. There were two big bulls killed (Poached) in the two bit hole last year on the skykomish. I left a message on a game wardens phone and never got a reply..

Who wants a season on poachers... :hunter:
-
Thats what its all about! What a gorgeous animal! Massive. Im getting the fever too early in the year. :bash:
-
That thing is a brute. I would keep an eye out for his sheds he should be dropping those soon
-
I love seeing them but I'd probably refrain from puttjng them on the web or telling everyone exactly where they live. Might keep that giant from getting poached. You never know. It's a small world in this area when it comes to these critters. Word gets out quickly and easily.

beautiful animal!!! Someday hope to meet up with one like that in person!
-
Most of these elk that run up and down the Shykomish drainage are on PVT. property. If someone wants one it pretty much has to be poached. Elk I'm sure are not easy to get away illlegally with, from the ones I've knocked down. :bdid: If anyone wants this one I would start in Snohomish and work my way to Gold Bar. Oh and don't forget he may head over to North bend where all the cows are... and a couple of my cameras.
-
private has not stopped the last few elk along the river from getting poached. It wasn't until they started bragging about it that they got caught.
-
I know Skyhunter. We all have to keep our eyes and ears open. I sure do as I float down the stream looking for ironheads to catch. Someday I will catch a poacher..

What a nice bull  But I agree about posting big bulls like that on the internet or for that matter telling anyone about where he is or abouit him ...I learned 1st hand about how fast the word gets out about someone seeing a big bull ...The year I killed my 6x7 I was trying to kill a 9x9 and I killed the 6x7 because he beat the 9x9s butt and ran him off So I had to kill him :chuckle: But within 3 days of me killing my bull I opened my mouth about the 9x9 and someone poached him ..... :bdid:

I think you guys have talked about 3 different bulls from that small area being poached just in this thread. It's not that hard to poach them. If someone is going to poach one, they're sure as heck not going to care about sneaking onto some private property.

:yike: seeing that is almost torture this time of year... GREAT BULL!!!
