Post by: catwithboost on October 02, 2008, 07:32:00 PM
Well got my new bino's today  ZR Optics 10x42 Vista. Used them today while working and have to say they are great. It was starting to get dark out tonight and tested them again and they pull in alot of light and I am very happy.  Will be taking them out this weekend for feild testing and will report more.

I should be getting mine over the weekend. They are really prompt sending out orders.  That's a good start.

Has anyone else used these Binocs. My brother had his old pair of nikons stolen and I'm trying to help him replace his with another pair. The price sure looks good but is it a case of you get what you pay for?

Finally got my zen-rays yesterday.  I missed the mailman on Saturday and had to wait through a loooooooooooong weekend to come to post office to pick it up. :bash:

I have been impressed by the first few hours fiddling with it and comparing with my nikon. The rubber actually has black finish, instead of the gray finish as shown on the website. I think I like the black tone finish better and it feels more substantial. Focus wheel is very smooth to operate. The sharpness is very similar to Monarch at the center field, but better toward the edge.  I tried to compare the brightness last night and couldn't pick out a winner even after switching back and forth between two binoculars. This pair has plenty of eyerelief. I can use it comfortable with my glasses on. I bought it as a back-up pair initially so I can toss into the car in case I need it on occasion. But after owning it for about a day, I probably will use this more often with its wider viewing angle. At this price, this glass is a terrific bargain!

I didnt want to start a new thread so I will just hijack this one. :chuckle: I am in the market to buy a range finder and possibly a rifle scope soon.  The home page says that ZR Optics offers both but they are not under the product tab.  Anyone ever found or used either of them?

Thanks for the question. We have been asked many times on the riflescope. We have several prototype in the work. That should come out 2nd half of next year.  We no longer offer rangefinder so we can focus on traditional optics, like binoculars and spotting scopes.  In December, there are two new products coming including one with ED glasses. I will keep everyone informed as the date approaches.
