great pics! i recognize those two trashy dogs in the back of the 6th pic :chuckle:

I have no pics to share, but that last picture is amazing! It's like a picture of a duck hunter staring off into the sky watching birds and his dog beside him watching the same ones, just always makes a good picture and shows that the dogs have the same thoughts as the hunter or the hunter is thinking the same as the dogs. Just shows a bond, that is great to see in a picture.
-
I like that one too. I had it blown up and framed to hang.

:chuckle: What a cute pup! Great pictures guys. I was just getting old enough to have a couple dogs when they out lawed the hunting here. I had never got a chance to take a bear or lion with them. I am heading to BC in May to chase bears with hounds and spot and stalk. I am going to try really hard to shoot one over dogs with my bow. Unless the right colored bear steps out when spot and stalk hunting. I will try to get or video from the hunt.
-
Some great pice guys! A few of those dogs look familar!

Haven't ran any hounds since the mid 90's, well before I ever had a digi cam, so can't contribute any pics :sry:
I do miss the music though, well except when I'm trying to sleep and the hieghbors cat is teasing em :bash:
But I am curious about that buckskin, is that a plott hound? I've had brindle, black and saddles but don't see many buckskins.

Here's a couple when she's behaving :)

Hey Houndhunter- What the heck are those dogs doing in the little red pull behind? Are you packing them behind a bike?
-
We were in a walk in area coon huntin and my sister couldn't handle walking my b/t on a bike. So I moved some stuff around and threw the pups in my carrier so I could walk her as I couldn't lead all 3 on a bike. There too big now but it worked out, dang pups got out of a 12 mile walk :chuckle:
-
Boy, sure brings back some memories!!
-
Thought I'd share too.
-
I like that dog on the right! Nice looking hound!

Pretty sad he died a few months back vet thought he got into to something poisonous not sure if it was organic or man made. He was my favorite, so far te best pet and best hunting dog I've had the privilege of owning.
-
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he sired a few litters for you to pass on those genes.

Here is a few pics of some of the pot lickers I’ve owned or hunted with in the past. This was all back on the east coast, I took a job in WA and miss huntin’ with hounds big time..
Here is “Action Jackson” Got him at 6 weeks old.. I think he is about 12 in this picture. Huge drive to hunt, loved it, getting old though, a friend has him now. My favorite hound..

Here is “Josey” a walker I tried to make a coonhound out of but she was better as a show hound. Ended up getting rid of her, this was a loooong time ago, thats me on the left adjusting the legs at maybe 14 or 15 years old. Still love coon huntin’ when I get the chance to go back east. Anyone run dogs on coon out here?

Yep he was my first 'rosco' and he was a large hound too. Lots of fun and lots of personality.

Here is a pic of my spoiled pup. We figgure he is close to 11. His name is Seymour but he goes by Poopydoo. :chuckle: He's an American/English Coon Hound. Tri colored.
He had surgury 10 days ago to remove some growths. He's got 3 1/2" of stitches on the side of his ankle and 1 1/2" behind his ear on his neck. He ripped some of the stitches out on his leg a week ago and today ripped out the stitches on his neck. They had to be replaced with staples.
-
He has this thing about dragging blankets around the house and nesting. Nothing that resembles blankets is safe.
-
The good ole days....

Here's my two fur children!
