Hey guys,
I have the opportunity to hunt some private land in east 204, west 101, right along the border near Wauconda area. Its a pretty high elevation area, around 4k feet. For any of you familiar with the area, are there turkeys up that high? I've heard it is too high to hold turkeys, but then also that are turkeys around.
Thanks for any info, really appreciate it.

Our group hunts deer in that general area, camping around 4300 feet. There were plenty of turkeys last October at this height, and seen them most of the week. Funny that we talked about hunting turkeys this year on our drive over last deer season. Just we didn't know exactly where we might find some on the east side,... set up deer camp and walla,.. Turkeys everywhere!!!

Turkeys will follow the snow line up .... I've seen them at over 5000 ft.

You are getting a little too close to my spot to give you any real info...I'll just say you are on the right track. Scout, ask around in town, and you'll get some good direction.
