I have got to do this one day. Looks like an absolute blast!
Helicopter Coyote & Hog Hunt 2010 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVApIPPDzt8#)

That's a crazy video.
-
Looks like a video game. Not much sport, just shooting. :dunno:
-
That would be awesome!
-
I watched something like this last night on the outdoor channel except they were using crossbows. I'm not interested in doing this.
-
Sorry, I think that is sickening :bash:
Zero sport in that.
-
they arent doing it for sport, they are doing it to thin the herd of ground ruining pigs. And who doesnt like trigger time? :chuckle:
-

Hard to tell when they are making a T.V show ...I am sure they did not show us everything that went on but he did miss a couple times ...That still would be a tough thing to do !

If copter gunning is something on your bucket list Texas is the place. Hogs are vermin and over run pretty much everything. You can get an hour in the air, gun, ammo, and a video of it for around $2500 in most places. Considering the equipment used and the chance to do it is worth it to some and not to others. Really it is just commercialized eradication. I've go no problem with it and if I had tons of cash to burn it would be a lot of fun.

I agree, looks like a video game. Looks like those guys are pretty good shots. I wonder if the farmers mind the dead hogs left in their fields?

I'm sure they'd much rather have dead hogs in their crops than live ones destroying their crops...

a cousin of mine owns a dairy farm in Texas and hire's this out multiple times a year to keep the hog population down, just hunting em u can't keep up with them repopulating, they drive around with a trailer and pile them up when they are done and donate the hogs.
-
Definitely looks like a video game. Not for me.

Zero sport in that.
It's target practice
It's eradication of feral hogs doing millions of dollars damage to crops.
It makes your cereal cheaper
It's not supposed to be sport

Looks like a ton of fun to me...in fact my cousin and I are planning on some aerial wolf gunning in Wyoming next winter, should be fun. We've got a sweet Super Cub, and lots of ammo and it's legal to shoot wolves out of the plane in Wy...
-
I was just gonna say how fun it would be to do that with wolves, in washington and Idaho!!!

roger that, not supposed to be sporting, meant to kill as many in as short of a period as possible. Sign me up
