Don't let him fool all of you! He's a pilot, while he's not flying he will be posting on here pool side or from the lounge :chuckle: All joking aside, elk camp won't be the same this year without you brother! Your the only hunting partner I have ever had that I could 100% count on to jump feet first into whatever off the wall, kamakazi type idea I could muster up! I love you! Oh and I am gonna mooch your wife's elk points this year too so I can pull another cow tag :chuckle:

Thank you for the overwhelming support. I really appreciate it and it is not lost on me. I won't forget it. I am at a stopping point at an Air Force base. Man the Air Force lives a good life. They know how to live :). Right now my belly is full of candy, I'm watching Batman and I have free WiFi. Life is good.

He was able to say his good byes, but an unfortunate chain of events as his welcome home will be a grief stricken event.

:salute: :salute: :'( I only knew Clock from his threads but sensed a brave and honorable man. I lost my best friend in Viet Nam and felt the same kick in the gut this am when I found out about Aaron. Here is a tribute to soldiers and famlies by 9 year old Rhema Marvanne.

THANK YOU SIR! R.I.P God Bless Your Family, my heart and prayers are with all of them!
Thank you "Captain, Aaron Blanchard" for everything you've done for us and this great nation!! This is just heart breaking, I'm still in disbelieve......
-
I have had a tear in my eye ever since reading the very sad news this morning. I did not know him outside of talking with him on here. He has been a great member and I always valued his posts. He will be missed and again prayers sent to his family.
A true hero fighting for his country. Rest in peace Aaron.
-
:yeah: I sure feel like I've lost a good friend. It's a very sad day.
-
I posted this in his other thread but I figured I would past it here as well. i want all to know.
I just talked to my younger brother who made some calls and this is what he told me.
Infantrymen nearby got into a firefight so Aaron and his stick buddy got spun up for a quick reaction force. As they were running across the flight line to get to there helicopter the FOB took 5 rounds indirect (rockets and mortars) aaron and his stick buddy didn't make it. One and a million shot. It is some comfort to know he died with his boots on running TO the fight and not laying in his tent or on the john or something.
-
RIP Brother, we shall never forget.
It's been said many times before.
All gave some
some gave all
Thank you for your service, prayers sent to you and your family. God Bless

Thank You Clockumelk. Prayers sent for your family.
-
Wow! Total disbelief here. Thank you for your service and sacrifice for our freedoms. Always sad to hear about casualties but it really hits home when its someone you know.
RIP to a true hero!
-
BLRman, I'm sorry for your loss, my heart is heavy and my stomach is in knots. Like the gentleman had state earlier, I too lost my best friend, it was one of those one in a million shots. Leaves you in total disbelief that something this terrible can happen. As stated in the other thread, me as an infantryman am super thankful for skilled men as your brother. Through his talent at the sticks, he has saved countless men and women.. Words just can't describe..
-
I am so sad to hear this......We should all come together and do something for his family.... He sacrificed his life for all of us the least we can do is let his family know that we appreciate his service....... Just so sad.

Remember, and can't remember how many service men I said be safe to while working for USAA Hope they all made it. \
Again RIP.

Maybe i missed it, but how much money total has hunt-wa brought in for the family?
-
I saw on the Montana hunting web site OYOA, Aaron was a member of, a little while back that they had donated about $1300.
