Title: Bobcat with Tasco
Post by: bobcat on April 15, 2013, 09:19:21 PM
This is one of the best pictures of a bobcat I got this year, and this is with my $40 Tasco.

Then there were these, of which I got more pictures of than anything else this time:

I'll throw up some more that were from my other camera at the same location. It's just a bit further away.

Nice job on the pictures.  First close up of vultures I've seen.  Man they're ugly  :o!

How is the battery life on your truth cam?

I really like cams that run off of AA batteries but was thinking of trying a few of these out.

Battery life is decent. I can't say exactly because mostly I use Stealth Cam external batteries with my Primos cams. I got several off eBay dirt cheap so I very rarely need to buy either AA or D batteries.

But I would say you'd get at least two months out of the four alkaline batteries. If not getting a huge number of pictures then I'd expect closer to three months.

Maybe someone else can chime in on this, lots of people are using the Truth Cam 35 and probably very few use external batteries like I do.

That doesn't seem too bad.

I checked these two cameras again this evening. Didn't get much this time. No bobcats at all. But did get a coyote (or two).

Cool how you see the stump mounted camera in the foreground of some of the shots.
