We were up near Canadian border this past weekend and saw a really big boar out and about at noon

Yeah thanks for the pic. >:(
Would you mind rubbing that salt in a little harder? I didn't pull a spring tag this year. :'(

Heading up to Kapowsin right NOW!.... Sure like to be the first to get a pic and story up on here for the spring hunt but we'll see how it goes, sounds like its been a slow but that mid morning afternoon sun might be just what the "hunter" ordered :IBCOOL:... Few hours today, more tomorrow and all day Friday.. Get r done.
Have a great day all

Nice one!

Nice bear pic
-
Pretty uneventful day for the 1st day out in the woods.. Basically just worked a series of cuts that had some good undergrowth coming through.. Area (Kapowsin) looks very promising. I did see lots of deer and elk sign via hoof prints in the dirt and piles of milk duds everywhere.
Bear scat on the other hand was scarce having only seen one pile in the road that was likely a few days to a few weeks old, nothing really fresh but the typical full of hair dookie.
Did see a couple of last year peels but again nothing fresh.. its still early though.. Tried an hours worth of raspy raspy rabbit on the R&R call but could not pull nothing up out of the drainage that was down below in fairly heavy timber. Look forward to getting out again on Friday. :hunter:

What's most amazing about that trail cam picture is that it's a WILDVIEW camera and I can tell what it is. :chuckle:
Had a couple WILDVIEW models that took a total of three viewable pictures. :bash: :bash:
Cool picture.

Keep it up, guys. Most of us did NOT draw a Spring Bear tag, and we are relying on you for our fix. You all seem to be looking in the right places, now keep climbing those hills, and get the job done.
-
That's a great looking bear. Too bad all the clear cuts I've seen so far are junk piles out in Rayonier. :bash: I will remain optimistic!
-
Nothing exciting to post about the Monroe unit. Clearcuts are starting to green up. Good grass along the roads and back in a bit along some of the old out of use stretches. Haven't seen any new peels...plenty of old ones. I haven't seen any good scat myself but have heard about some better sign showing up. The season is young. I'll try and snap a few pics next time I'm out.
-
Bob that last pic is from a coyote not a bear.
-
It's wildviews 8mp IR model .. I've been very pleased with this cam.. It's worked flawlessly for a year

Saw 1 bear on Tuesday :IBCOOL: wasn't able to connect %#&@ :bash: I will be after that one this weekend. Found a beautiful area.
-
Nothing to report from the Lincoln unit. :'(

Timber....don't tell me where....just remind me what unit you drew.
Okay....TELL ME WHERE.
-
Glad to see them coming out. Headed for Kelly hill in a week or two.

Should just be getting good up there. A buddy and his dad has that same unit and I think that will be the first time they will
Be making it up there. Seems like middle to the end of may is the best in that unit from past years.
