Title: tips?

Howdy all,
First off I am new to the sight, but have found a ton of great stories and suggestions from what seem to be great people.  A little about myself.  I decided last year that I should start hunting again after a 14 year break.  Went out last year with limited scouting and struck out.  Had a nice Three piont in my sights when another hunter hit him from across the clearcut.  Now to my question, I have been looking in the Olympic tree farm and thought that it looked OK.  I am bringing my 6 year old son with me and it looks like he could manage most of that area.  Does anyone have any sugestions on how I may be able to improve my chances.  I also took a look at the wynoochee area and thought that I may try there if I strike out this weekend.  Thank you all very much for the help.
