-
+1 though I would like to get a book Blacktail.
-
I just need a blacktail
-
Got the whitetail and muley a couple times over.
I DO have a blacktail...but I got in California while stationed there.
-
i need i more blacktail to get my 3rd archery WA deer slam (trifecta)
-
Done but MD was not here. Did all 3 in 16 days.
-
After I get my moose I will have tagged a 5X4 whitetail, book muley, 6X6 elk and a moose, all in Washington and will just need that blackie. ;)
-
got elk also, a couple spikes but gave it up till i draw a big bull tag. that damn blacktail took me 6 seasons...
-
I've never done a whitetail.............they dont intrest me at all. I will most likely kill one in my life and it will be in Kansas.
-

I was the same way because of all there publicity but got hooked my first year when I shot my big one. When you hunt them here in the high country it is a ton of fun and is not like all you see on T.V.
-
Problem is I think there Ugly and I dont like there personalities.
-
I've killed a black tail and mule...but i don't think i'll ever kill a white tail, i got an uncle that lives in chewelah i guess there thick up there, he can take one every year if he wants. But whitetail really don't interest me...too small although i heard they're yummy!
-
I was exactly the same but once you do it and get a big one you will have the fever!
-
Got them all but my whitetails are from Oregon and Idaho! I would need one from Wa to complete the slam though! Oh well I'll just shoot one this weekend while hunting for Huntnphool's moose and get r done! :chuckle:
-

They are not small, The first one I shot was a conservative 230 lbs I am 6' 6'' and 250 lbs. Look at the pic, I think it was my 05 deer. The next years was way over 200 as well.
-
Just missing a whitetail, but I have spent very little time chasing whiteys. Not sure I want to either. :dunno:
-
I've shot all three, I grew up hunting Blackies in Skagit Co and have taken about 15 of them plus around a dozen Mulies & 3 whitetails. I need a Blacktail worth mounting so I can have all 3 on my wall of death. :rockin:

Show-off!!!
-
My first deer was a White Tail taken over by Curlew. I then took a few Black Tails. I have since then added 3 Muleys to the mix. :IBCOOL:
-
wow lots of whitetail hating! i don't fancy myself a whitetail hunter, and i really don't like hunting them but i have 2 ferry county bucks on my wall, both trophys, my best is in my avatar... i know there total crackheads and run for 3 days nonstop when twig breaks 3 counties over but you gotta love a big long-tined whitey! also i could really care less about a trophy blacktail (unless it was high book) just too small i guess, or maybe its hunting them in mossy rain soaked ferns and underbrush... i dunno.
-

They are not so small either. They are the hardest to hunt I believe. We have killed bucks well over 200lbs. A buddy shot one about 6 years ago that was pushing 250lbs.
-
i've killed a few whiteys, and a few mulies and this year am going for the 1st blacktail. i feel i have my work cut out for me...i don't plan on shooting any little guys...
:dunno:
-
Got the rifle tri and only need a muley for the archery tri but need both the whitey and muley for the muzzle tri. I got time! :IBCOOL:
-

I think the terrain they live in makes them a little harder to hunt than mule deer and whitetail. Its really thick and really wet and really steep-at least the areas i hunt. I have never tagged a black tail deer-only mule deer, but theres a part of me that loves hunting blacktails on a stormy/drizzly fall day.
-
Got em all and P&Y qualifiers in each species. Also have a couple of sub-species. Cascade blacktail and muley/whitetail cross. I need to get my Mt. Adams benchleg scored someday.
-
got a 3 pt muley and a 142in. blacktail with bow ill put pics up soon
-
Need a whitey...
got 3 blackies...
1 Muley.

i was refering more to antler size than body size, the 3 point i shot was a pig, made his horns look even smaller! :chuckle:
-
I have Whitetails & Muley's, dose the hybrid's around Goldendale count as a Blacktail?? If so, I have all three!
-
I have them all. Have two muleys on the wall out of the several, would love to get a good whitey and Blackie for the wall.
Taken numerous blacks, but none worthy to mount, and taken three whites, no worth mounting.
Maybe this is the year......
Only thing I need from Washington big game is Goat, Sheep, Moose, and Cougar. Unles you count Wolf and coyote.
-
I need a goat and a sheep and a picture of a Yeti, and a Roosie I guess.
-
I have a blacktail and muley from Washington. My Whitetail is from Montana.
-
ive got a WA whitetail but for now ill have to put my WA trifecta on hold in order to do a european trifecta Red stag, Boar, Shamois.
-
I'M IN... one whitetail about ten years ago...that little town by the border above curlew.
-
Blacktail deer in 5th, 6th, and 7th, grade. A few mule deer while I was in college, and Lots of White tail since then.
-
Done all three several times over. Can't say any are real worth bragging about but some decent bucks of all three species. Pretty cool we have the opportunity to hunt all 3 in our state!!!
-
I have never had the opportunity to hunt Mulies and whitetails, I hunt blacktails and as far as I can tell, there is nothing like it. I personally believe they are the most good looking of the three species, although a nice mulie is something I would really like to have one day. I would like to get all three with my muzzleloader.....already have the blacktail on the wall.......
Great job to all of you who have gotten all three, that is awesome! :)
-
I'm in also. 4 blacktail,2 mulies and a whitetail. You can buy a trophy mulie and a trophy whitetail, good luck buying a trophy blacktail.
-
My brother has done it.
5x5 Whitetail
a few 4pt+ Mulies
a couple small Blacktails
I need a Whitetail to complete mine. No real desire to hunt Whitetails though. I like Mulies and Blacktails too much to concentrate on anything else.
-
The damn, black tail buck, eludes me. Have shot a black tail doe, but that doest count in this question. From an archery perspective, I have a Rosie cow and bull, rocky cow and bull, white tail buck , mule deer buck and black bear boar. Still need a Black tail buck, goat, cougar and moose!
-
and duh...oh yeah, sheep!
-

Let's get him scored up! PM me.
-
I'm in. 5X5 whitetail, mulies and even a 20+ inch Blacktail from the coast. Not the hybryds from the cascade range.
-
bucksnort... do you know nick stiencil?
-
I have killed all 3 types.
Wasnt a big fan of blacktail hunting...treestand for hours upon hours :chuckle:
-
Missing a Blacktail here. I plan on spending some time in the woods for one if I dont tag out on another species first!
-
Im missin the whitetail . Would love to get one on the wall but i love my mulies to much :chuckle:
-
Multiples of all three... 3 blacktail, 2 whities and 2 mulies in WA... several more whities and mulies from ID and MT...
I sorta wish I could hunt blacktail again...now that I know more about hunting....

Got them all. mostly Blacktails due to that's my back yard. My belief is that a big mature Blacktail is the toughest of all to get.
Bone Collector, I know Doug Stencile, Nicks dad. And yes Nick has some nice Blacktails.
-
Oh, I forgot my Sitka blacktails as well.
-
Yeah show off. ;)
Are you going north this weekend, or waiting for late season, or archery hunting this year?
-
A dozen plus blackies, 3 mulies and 1 whitey. I have a good muley, the whitey is decent and all dinks for the blacktails. I was holding out for a really good blacktail last year, saw a couple of good ones and ended up with tag soup!
-
Going to try for the Muley this year! Might make this more interesting if you said who has killed 4 points or bigger of each species :chuckle:
-
nick and i were room'es for awhile when we were loggin. had to kick his smart ass out after a couple years. lol he has busted a couple nice backyardes.
-
Hard to find a blacktail that has much in the way of antlers. This one is pretty much untouchable, but is the buck I want!
Picture taken through a screen door and is just off the back deck.

Nice back yard buck, its funny how the best blacktail bucks I have seen are in someones backyard and like you say untouchable. I personally know right now where 2 bucks like that and better are hanging out in a friends back yard, again untouchable. The blacktail way.
-
Bone, another late archery season in the old honey hole for me.
-
I have the trifecta, small two point whitetail, blacktail spike years ago (20) and many mulies. no book bucks just a few nice specimans
