We've had a few incredibly generous folks offer up some items for us to auction off to raise some funds for the family of Capt. Blanchard. We can't replace him, but we can provide something to his family that may help them get through this tough time.
I'm going to make a list of the auction items we have at this point. The 1st one will roll out Monday 4/29. All I know for sure is that we are going to start with the donation from Austrian Hunter.
From Austrian Hunter:
Up for Auction is a Luxury Golf Packageatthe YakimaCountry Club:
This Certificate includes one 18 hole round of golf for a Foursome with two golf carts at the Yakima Country Club including a Dinner credit of $200 and a Pro Shop credit of $100. The total retail value of this certificate is $780.
The Yakima Country Club is located 3 miles east of downtown Yakima in Terrace Heights. The 130 acre property overlooks the beautiful Yakima Valley. The club offers astounding views from the clubhouse and several luxurious amenities including championship golf, two golf practice facilities, state of the art tennis, pool/snack bar and first class dining. Play on the finest playing surfaces, experience incredible guest service, and enjoy exquisite dining.
The Yakima Country Club’s Staff Philosophy is: “The improbable we do every day----- The impossible takes us a little longer-----If a member needs to ask, it’s too late----- The answer is yes!
Rules and Conditions of auction item: Reservation and Tee time needs to be made at least two weeks prior of arrival. Tee time and reservation in dining room are subject to availability. The foursome needs to comply with Yakima Country Club golf rules and dress code. The certificate needs to be signed be the successful auctioneer and is not for resale or transfer. Certificate will expire on December 31, 2013.

From Charlie's Taxidermy aka Bucklucky on here:

-
From Michelle Nelson's Taxidermy:
A Black Bear Shoulder mount. Value is $539.50. They can also use the credit towards a Rug, Lifesize, or any other mount they would like.
This will be for new work coming into the shop. Not good for items already in the shop. Not redeemable for cash.
-
Elkstuffer Ric Sherrod from All Thats Wild Taxidermy is offering up:
$200 towards taxidermy. The only disclaimer would be that it's not to be applied towards work already in the shop and there is NO expiration date.
-
Remington300mag aka Sam Baird from Slammin' Salmon Guide Service donated this:
I owner/guide Sam Baird of Slammin' Salmon Guide Service would like to offer a fully guided salmon fishing trip for up to 3 people. I guide out of Central Washington, this trip would take place from The mouth of the Okanogan to the Hanford Reach area on the Columbia River, depending on what they choose. This can either be for Sockeye (if we get a season), Summer Run Chinook, or Fall Run Chinook. I'll let the winner choose! This trip will be for 8 plus hours of fishing time. The date and locationand details will be arranged after the end of the auction. Value of this trip is $600. (that is the going rate for all of us guides in the area).

Yes but we would appreciate all of it going through us. We've done this sort of thing before and if gone unchecked it becomes wayyyyyy too confusing. We've got some other smaller items already too, I'm just waiting on clarification from Doug on what that stuff is.
I think maybe we'll start the auction on the Phelps call here in a bit....lets say 9:00am. It will run till 9pm tonight.
I'll post a link here to the auction and a seperate thread for it in a bit.
-
Sounds good. I will offer up 100.00 when it shows up on new topics! Or you can start it out with my bid

If you want to sell/auction something off, completely on your own, then handle getting the item to the buyer and the money to the Paypal account Doug has going all on your own, I don't see a problem with that I guess. We've got enough on our plates with this already. It has really blown up. The support from folks on this site and others is mind-blowing.

All good points Jackelope....I've got a one man pop up blind, new, never been used. I'll double check it and make sure it is in perfect condition and will post when appropriate. If it sells I'll be happy to arrange shipping once the check has been received by Dale or whomever is handling it.

There is a lot of stuff that sounds great being donated. Will there be one particular thread to check and see what's available currently? I get confused easily, but want to watch several of these auctions. For example, when will Willow Creek's auction run?
-
They are going one at a time....currently credit towards taxidermy.

Can a Mod's make the Auctions a sticker so it stays at the top :dunno:

I think I'm going to come up with a list of what happens when. Right now, I am just posting in this thread what is running when.
Maybe I should make a thread thats locked with just the current and upcoming auctions. I'll do that.

I'm not sure there is a way to keep it on top of the "Recent Topics", we will have to ask Dale.
That being said, if anyone sees a current auction slip out of the "Recent Topics" list, feel free to bump it up.
-
Sure there is. TTT

Yes i will be doing a guided bear hunt. I will be hunting my bear area on the coast. Calling and stocking. Been hunting there since 85. Rick
My auction will be a week or more.
-
Going to un-sticky this one and I've got a new one I will put up in just a minute or 2. It will be locked so as to keep confusion to a minimum.
Feel free to keep replying to this one. I will post updates in here too.

We at Radical Archery Designs want to put up three bows for the auction. All three bows will be shipped from the factories to RAD, Inc. and we will take care of freight to the winners of the Auction.
#1 - Working together with Archery World, Vancouver, WA we will be donating a camo 2013 RH 70# Hoyt Carbon Element . Winner can chose either 26-28" or 28-30" draw length.
#2 - Working together with Bear Archery we will be donating any standard camo compound bow from Bear Archery's 2013 catalog. Order for bow will be placed with the factory as soon as the winner advises RadSav of what model, draw length, poundage and RH/LH. The 2013 lineup is filled with some really great bows! I myself will be spending most of the upcoming seasons shooting the Motive 7 - one of the three bows I rated as a 2013 over $800.00 top choice.
#3 - Working together with Bowtech Archery we will be donating any standard camo or Black Ops compound bow from Bowtech Archery's 2013 catalog. Order for bow will be placed with the factory as soon as the winner advises RadSav of what model, draw length, poundage and RH/LH. This includes the Experience which I also rated as a 2013 over $800.00 top choice. The only other bow you may see me shooting in the upcoming season.

Just a big SHOUT OUT to all members of this site. We may have argued and agreed to disagree. But at the end of the day we are all one big family. Aaron would be shocked and in tears if he could see how much people cared for him and his family. Truly has hit home that our hero is hunting in a better place!
Till we meet again Colockumelk! Keep the wind in your face!!

Ribka--
pm sent.
We had this discussion yesterday and Dale advised us:
Hunt-WA can not sell guns as we don't have an FFL.
-
Ribka, maybe just list it in the classifieds yourself, and then after it sells, donate the money?

This upcoming season much of my time will be spent reflecting on the privilege's I have, and those who protect it for us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I put this on another of the benefit auction threads but thought I'd put it here also so it could get more bidders when JL puts it up for auction.
After consideration on which auction to provide, I think the bow hunt is what we are going with. My intention with the weekend get-a-way for the Blanchard family was to donate the stay and to donate any funds raised through the auction. Looks like it may be very hard for JL to keep track of all who would donate. If BLRMAN wants to PM me I think Wendy and I can still do something for a stay for the family N/C. So here is my auction donation:
Semi-Guided Archery Hunt for two. Arrive afternoon Sept 6th and check out morning Sept. 9th. Here is what you get: Lodging, Meals, Access to private land, Scouting prior to your arrival, stand and blind placement, then you hunt on your own. I will spend the first day showing you where I have seen the game. You can hunt mule deer, whitetail deer, bear, and I have seen a couple elk on one of my leases. Value w/tax is $800
Thank you Jackelope for all your work on these auctions. Let me know what else I need to do. Pics are from a couple of our properties.
