Title: World Record Moose
Post by: popeshawnpaul on October 07, 2008, 10:50:54 AM: For those of you out still moose hunting, I thought I would post the picture and measurements of the world record 205" moose. Interesting to note...he only has a 53" spread. Here are some of the key measurements:

Greatest spread: 53
Length of palm: Right 38 6/8 - Left 38 5/8
Width of palm: Right 16 7/8 - Left 15 6/8
Circ. of beam at smallest place: Right 6 7/8 - Left 6 7/8
Number of points: Right 15 - Left 15

They need to put those out of their mind and concentrate on shiras, 50", double brows, etc. Those huge gagger bulls don't live in our world, they live in fairytale land. I believe the Sharias Moose is the smallest subspecies. You gotta judge 'em out of the environment of which they come. Apples to apples, not apples to oranges. If I get a 4 pt mule deer off the snake and you got a 6 pt whittie up in Colville, well we just have to leave it at that.
