I am going to change this up a little...it's become too confusing to keep track of everything. This will be a running list of all the auction donations and I think I make a list of what's going to go to auction when.
Thank you to everyone for all your generosity. It is overwhelming.

ATI Forend Pistol Grip (recently bought at Cabelas by me), brand new, in package never installed or shot with. Fists any Standard Picatinny Rail.

I will pay to ship to winner, or hand deliver. Let me know.
IN ADDITION:
I will be adding a matching 5pt set of shed elk antlers to the auction. These, being found by myself and brother, in the colockum, I think will be very fitting.
I had read through some of my personal messages and realized again that he and I talked about elk hunting in the colockum and that he had intended on swinging by our camp to say hi....he knew where we camped every year. These sheds are perfect for mounting, or using in a project.

Thanks for coordinating and running this auction, Jackelope.
I know it's a lot of work and a huge commitment - taking up family time and countless hours of personal time. Your contribution to the Blanchard family should be recognized as much as the generosity of the guys making their goods and services available for auction.
This whole process shows what a great bunch of guys and gals we have on the forum.
Thanks for everyone's support is such a heartbreaking time. I didn't know our brother, but clearly! he was a very good man.

I would like to donate a Honorary Diamond Willow Porch broom to the Blanchard Family Auctions. This broom will be hand made, one of a kind, engraved with Colockumelk's initials. I will choose the nicest piece of diamond willow in my collection for the broom, and select the finest grade broom corn. Just want to make sure everyone has a chance to have a look at the upcoming auctions.
I've also recieved a $700 certificate for taxidermy work from Cedar River Taxidermy.
Got word from Randy Newberg from hunttalk.com and On Your Own Adventures TV show that they will be doing something on that site as well.
I've got a few more irons in the fire I'm waiting to get solidified too so stay tuned. This has been and will continue to be epic. You're all incredible individuals in my book and I'm proud to be a part of this incredible community.

Thanks to all you who generously donate your possessions and time to help the Blanchard family!

Wow it is great to see so many folks reaching out to Colockumelk's family. I'm proud to be a part of this fine community of outdoorsmen & women. Great to see everyone coming together for one cause. It is very uplifting.
Today I made a special diamond willow porch broom for the Aaron Blanchard Family Auction. I think it is the nicest broom I have ever made. I just love diamond willow. The broom is drying right now, and will be shipped from our shop to the winner's mailing address. We will pay for shipping.
This is a nice full broom, great for the porch or floor. It will look awesome hanging in someone's cabin or at the lodge. Goes good with your taxidermy collection, too! It is 60" long overall, and the sweep is 14" wide. The broom is woven tightly on a choice piece of diamond willow treated with natural beeswax wood finish. If I was to post the broom on my Etsy it would bring $150, so bid generously for this one of a kind functional art.
Happy bidding, and may God bless Aaron's family until they meet again.
p.s. - I tried my hand at engraving, and I totally suck at it. I decided not to screw up the broom, but still I dedicate this piece to honor him and his service to our great country.
-
Sawbuck... Thanks for the donation. It looks beautiful. I'll get it into the loop with the rest of the auctions. It'll probably be next week before it goes up for auction. Thank you again.
-
Tomorrow I will make up another auction schedule for next weeks auctions. Stay tuned.

Bad Ass Broom There!

Word just in. Cam Hanes is donating 2 of his books, 4 T-shirts and 1 of his DVD's.
He will sign them however the auction winner would like. I was thinking "In Loving Memory of Colockumelk" or something to that effect.
-
I have also been in contact with Mystery Ranch Packs (I know Aaron used their packs), I hope to hear back from them tomorrow.

You are on it JP

New to this site, as of this evening. I would like to donate. There are a number of topics already started, which is a bit confusing. Which donation offering is still needed for the family?

The only way to donate via the site aside from bidding on auctions is through the Joshua Cup thread. Thanks for the generosity by the way, and welcome aboard.

I still have 28 items to auction that haven't been done yet, and based on what I've seen this far, I bet that list grows.
Working on an updated list you all will probably see tomorrow some time. Auctions will happen next week.
Think... more taxidermy, holsters, fishing, bear hunt, pork, firewood, new bows from Hoyt, Bear Archery, Bowtech, the list goes on.
Bearpaw just let us in on his donation. It's a good one. Stay tuned.

Roughly how much has been donated already?
From another thread:
I have about 1800 in cup funds, and about 1100 in auction funds. Waiting for lots of checks to start arriving.
-
Roughly how much has been donated already?
Auction intake so far is just shy of $2700.00, I think $2680 is the number. We haven't recieved all that yet, but that's the number for what's been sold. I think Doug mentioned earlier he had around $1800 in Joshua Cup money accounted for. That was just PayPal money I think. He'd have to answer that one for sure.

Awesome.

  Keep it going guys!! And for your guys that own a business you know you can right it off the end of the year as a business expense/donation.

Kicking around a couple ideas for donating to the auction. #1 idea : Send the Blanchard Family for a weekend stay for up to 18 people at Buck Canyon Lodge-- meals and lodging provided.Value at $1800. Do you think people would bid to provide the Blanchards a get-a way to Lake Roosevelt?? or #2 idea would be a semi-guided archery hunt for 2 hunters checking in Sept.6th and checking out the morning of Sept 9th. Value $800. Lodging, meals, access to private land, scouting, stand placement are all included. What does everyone think????? Let me know.
-
I Like the family get a way deal.. Good on you Sir...
-
what if we got together and bid to send the familly there ? If you give a discounted rate and any thing over that said amount could go strait into the fund or travel expences if all the regs kicked in ten bucks we could blow it out of the park.

We could pick an already donated item to sell and redirect the funds to send the family to Buck Canyon Lodge if you like that idea. We'd have to choose an item, get the green light from whoever donated it as far as them being ok with what we do with the proceeds from the item, then sell it for enough money to pay B.C.L.
Just a thought.
I don't really have any more insight as to how to go about this, and I've got my hands full with all the auctions, but if someone wanted to take the reigns on this, I'll help however I can.
-
Updated the Timbertech post with some pictures. The gray didn't come through very well on the bottom photo.

BCL - either is an incredible offer and would be a get addition to support Aaron's family. I would suggest that if you want to host the family, it should be set up for contribution. If you go with the hunt, I think auction would be of great intrest. Either choice... again...leaves me speechless! Just awesome!
lope - I continued to be blown away by your commitment and generosity. Your time spent and efforts to bring this all together, embody what makes this site so great!! Thank you for making it possible for everyone to help! That goes for all the players in this effort, you have all left the masses in aawwhh!!

Probably the wrong place to post this but, after getting approval from BLRman I am in the works to have a custom logo printed on Aaron's favorite Blaze and Yellow Blazer vanes. Haven't gotten the quotes in yet from Bohning and AAE, but our hope is we can give away enough vanes to each archer who donates or enters the Joshua Cup to fletch at least a dozen arrows. Sort of a "Take the memory of Colockumelk hunting with you this year" type of thing. Wouldn't it be cool if every bowhunter you ran into in Washington this season was shooting two orange and one yellow vane with a Colockumelk logo on it?
Still working on a logo that will fit the limited space. But this is what I am thinking...
-
If we can not get the timing to work out on the vanes we might try the same idea with a patch of some sort.
-
Very nice RadSav!!!

After consideration on which auction to provide, I think the bow hunt is what we are going with. My intention with the weekend get-a-way for the Blanchard family was to donate the stay and to donate any funds raised through the auction. Looks like it may be very hard for JL to keep track of all who would donate. If BLRMAN wants to PM me I think Wendy and I can still do something for a stay for the family N/C. So here is my auction donation:
Semi-Guided Archery Hunt for two. Arrive afternoon Sept 6th and check out morning Sept. 9th. Here is what you get: Lodging, Meals, Access to private land, Scouting prior to your arrival, stand and blind placement, then you hunt on your own. I will spend the first day showing you where I have seen the game. You can hunt mule deer, whitetail deer, bear, and I have seen a couple elk on one of my leases. Value w/tax is $800
Thank you Jackelope for all your work on these auctions. Let me know what else I need to do. Pics are from a couple of our properties.

Just got word, thanks to Actionshooter, that Butch Whiting from Kryptek would be donating some gear for auction.
He also sent this to us.
........I was struck by someone reposting a picture that CPT Blanchard posted of himself flying at Fort Carson, CO. The very distinct “Sharks Teeth” were a signature of Renegade Troop, 4/3 Armored Cavalry Regiment, out of Fort Carson…The unit I commanded, and both Cleghorn and I fought in Iraq…CPT Blanchard must of came into the unit shortly their after…We must have just missed each other.
Attached is rendering of a painting that was commissioned by Lockheed Martin showing the very distinct aircraft markings of Renegade Troop…This was a battle we fought in called “Operation Restoring Rights” in Tal Afar Iraq.
............
We would be very honored to donate some Kryptek Items to help raise funds for the family…We will donate a Kryptek Koldo Rain Jacket and Pants, Solid Gray, along with a Kratos Synthetic insulated layering jacket…Links below:

I've got it. It will go in the next go-round or I might sneak some of the other stuff in here and there. I'm doing this at work so I don't want to get too busy with work and have to neglect this. It's pretty manageable as it sits.

Put Steve Rinellas stuff in there at one point. Theyve given a signed meat eater poster and meet eater hat. I'll probably receive it in the mail in a couple of days. Then I'll ship it anywhere in the state for free.

Josh, after our phone conversation this morning I decided to offer for auction a $500 discount on any service we offer. I know this auction will run for some time. Likely the purchaser will be someone that draws a Quality tag for the Tucannon or the Wenahas. I charge $500 to pack a bull for a non booked client, the other options to use as $500 credit towards a drop or guided camp. Also there is a consideration of a summer trip for families. I know you will get the wording right for the bidders consideration. You might consider holding this for a later date.

Radsav,
I like your artwork on this, yet as I am not a bow hunter (yet), I'd like to honor Aaron too in some form this year. What about this idea:
The logo you designed might be a good fit as a decal for Hunt-WA members to purchase and post on our vehicles. It would be interesting to see how many pickups we would see around the state with those decals.
Isn't there a member here on the forum that designs Hunt-WA decals?

Not sure :dunno: Once I do a little more work on the font so it will stand out in miniature I'll have this available as a vector file. I figure once completed I will give the file to BLRman. He can distribute it as he wishes. I would be uncomfortable doing anything more with it than what I already discussed with him. I figure it will be a very personal thing to him and his family so I just prefer to stay out of it beyond what I've mentioned unless he request me to do more. I'm not even sure RAD or myself should be the ones to distribute them. That might be better handled by the family or a representative of the family as well. I'll have that discussion with Karl in the weeks to come. Need to get all the ground work done first.

Jackelope and boneaddict have done an awesome job with the fundraisers, thanks so very much guys. The showing of support by the entire H-W community is nothing short of amazing. However, I do think it's time for H-W to finish the auctions for all the donations we have already received.
As soon as Jackelope knows when he'll be finished with the auctions for Aarons fundraiser we will post in this topic so that anyone else who wanted to donate to the family and hasn't done so can put their own auction in the classifieds and donate the proceeds to the Joshua Fund which will be accepting donations for Aaron Blanchard's family for several more months. Please contact boneaddict with any additional cash donations you may have for that fund.
The memorial wreath fund was also a huge success. Yesterday I ordered the flowers, I asked for something extra special that a year from now they will remember as being one of the nicest arrangements they've done. The freestanding arrangement will have red, white, and blue flowers with ribbons of the same color, the patriotic theme is fitting of Aaron. The lady will send a photo and final billing after it's been completed, I'll post the photo of the arrangement and forward all remaining funds to the Joshua Fund for Aaron's family.
Thanks to the entire H-W membership for your tremendous show of support for Aaron and his family, you are all amazing people. :IBCOOL: :hello:

Soccer Coaching Clinic
I realize this is a hunting forum but assuming at least a few of you have sons & daughters who play "The World's Game", this auction is for a 1 Day Clinic. After a quick threaded discussion with Jackelope, here's what I'm offering up for auction:
The winning bidder will get *one* of the following clinic options below PLUS my two season tickets to one upcoming Sounders game TBD (seats on the 45 yard line 9 rows up):
- Youth team clinic for a day
- Coaches clinic for a day
- Club Goalkeeping session for a day
- Guest coaches TBD *
** I have a pretty good Rolodex of past and current college & professional players & coaches I will reach out to help. I believe when coaching girls/women, it would be ideal to bring women guest coaches and the same goes for boys/men. I will work with the winning bidder to inform them of the available coaches for this clinic.
Details:
I will travel anywhere in Washington State for this clinic but would need to schedule enough in advance to sort through guest coaching schedules along with my own. For outside of WA State, please PM me before bidding. I will build a clinic curriculum specifically tailored for whatever the age, gender or skill set to ensure the session is high tempo, fun & informative. The clinic can be focused for a youth, High School or even an adult team. The winner of this auction may instead ask to have this used for a Youth Club Coaching Clinic specifically to provide coaching assistance, training sessions and tactical information for their respective teams.
I'm working on a few other 'perks' but my week has just been slammed so I've been unable to connect with a few people to get firm commitments and don't want to over promise and wanted to get this written up and posted. Suffice to say, the winning bidder will not be disappointed. :-)
My Qualifications:
My Name is Chuck Granade and I have played & coached youth, college & professional mens and womens teams for a long time although stepped back into the work force to make better coin. In addition to team, club and ODP coaching experience, I have conducted private training sessions with existing college and US National team players along with winning 2 NCAA National Championships, 2 professional championships as a player, League GK MVP as a professional player, 1 USISL Championship as a coach with the Sounders and 1 youth Snickers state championship as a coach.
- NSCAA "C" Licensed coach (been way too busy to get my "B").
- Former WSYSA Goalkeeping Director
- Former Youth ODP coach, multiple years
- Former Coach and Board Member Northwest Nationals
- Former Goalkeeper Coach & recruiting coordinator, Seattle Pacific University (2006-2006)
- Former Goalkeeper Coach, Seattle Sounders USISL 2000-2006
My college coaching was mostly at Seattle Pacific University where I played but also did a small stint at UW (you eastsiders don't hold that against me!).
The value of my clinics have ranged in price based on the level and duration but easily several hundred dollars for this type of clinic.
Let's put the estimated clinic value at $400.
Sounders tickets - value $150
I'll let the forum users decide what the value is and be happy any amount is donated to this great cause... just not sure how many soccer fans, coaches, parents or grandparents are here. :-)
Feel free to PM me with any questions.

Calls are turned, finished and the band has been secured. I hope to have some pics of the finished calls here in a couple days. I've never been so overwhelmed with emotion while making calls.
