From Haugenna and Timbertech:
I would like to auction off 500 lineal feet of Timbertech Decking in our Terrain Evolutions line. This DOES NOT include framing, fasteners, or railing. This is decking only. Framing requirements are 16" on center. I have grooved or solid. Grooved is for hidden fastening with clips, solid is for face fastening with screws.
Lengths available- 16' & 20' in solid profile and 12',16' & 20' in grooved.
Colors available- Silver Maple (Gray with subtle black streaks) and Brown Oak (brown with subtle black streaks)
Winner will need to pick up the material in Tacoma or Spokane. I have distributors in both locations.
Value $1,400
The product is next generation decking. It has a polymer cap that is resistant to fading and staining. It carries a 25 year fade and stain warranty and a 25 year product warranty. I know there is a lot more that goes into building a deck, if you have questions on the product, please send me a pm.
For more product information please visit www.timbertech.com (http://www.timbertech.com)
Nate is a wealth of information on this stuff. We built a new 600 sq ft deck last summer on my house and Nate gave me more information than I could process to help us with our project. It turned out great and this material is a lot nicer than my wife or I expected.
Bidding starts at 10am today and will run till Friday 5/10/13 at 10am. Any questions, please contact Haugenna. The winner will get funds to Boneaddict via Paypal massivemuleys@aol.com or you can pm him for a mailing address if you'd prefer to send a check.
Thanks and happy bidding.

Damn nice offer  what are the board widths? Trying to figure out how many square feet it would cover using 20' boards. I have a deck to build this summer.

I'll go out and measure mine in a bit. I want to say 5 1/2" wide. I'll make sure.

basically a 12 x 20 deck

basically a 12 x 20 deck
That's the size of the upper deck we built. It's a nice size. Our backyard is wide but not too deep(development) so we didn't want to lose most of a big section of our backyard.
If this stuff is sold through the Tacoma location and there is some flexibility time wise, I can assist with delivery within a reasonable distance from there. A 16' car trailer works well for transporting it. I did it twice with my deck. We can work that out later if needed.

This one's coming up today at 10am.
Just a heads up.
There's some good info on this thread so I think I'll just modify this and make it the auction thread at 10am.

FYI, this is great stuff. I built a 12 x 16' elevated deck out of this material last spring and it still looks like new.
-
Right on!
-
Quality product. I deal with it quite a bit and once it's down it has ZERO maintenance. Well I suppose you have to sweep it

What do you do that has you working with it on a regular basis?
-
I'm a Superintendent for a high end residential building company in Seattle. We do a fair number of houseboats and use either this product or Ipe a lot due to its weather resistant qualities.

Thank you for your support.

Who's the next contestant on the price is right??
-
Someone's getting a deal!!
-
Please don't make me have to bid on this. I have a half finished storage shed in the back yard, a spring bear tag, and many other projects to work on; but at this price I will have to get it and re-do the entry porch to my home. >:(
-
OK, I just took the tape measure to the entry. I really only need half of this material. If someone else is in the same boat PM me and we can split this thing at a great price.

I am all over that, I have a cabin in the colockum that is need of some new decking, old boards have been there long enough. The money goes to a great cause and the decking will go to a place Aaron was very fond of.
Thanks a million for the offer. I don't have a problem matching Cem's bid of $725, it is for a good cause you know.
Thanks again.

Wow that's amazing! There are truly a lot of incredible people on this site!

Nate, that's a great offer. It's all for a great cause, so it's a win-win for both Rainier and myself. I will still pay the $725 that I originally bid because it's truly about helping out Aaron's family anyway we can.
Bone, send me your address and I will send out a check tomorrow. Paypal keeps trying to charge like 2% to the recipient and I want to makes sure the family gets all the money.
Thanks,
Clint
