I am wanting to buy a .22 pistol for just target shooting and plinking. Just thought I would run it by you guys and see what you think would be a good one to get. Not looking to spend tip end money for a plinking pistol but don't want to get the bottom of and barrel either. Thanks for your time and help.

Browning Buckmark for semi-auto or Ruger Single Six for a revolver
-
I have a berretta Neos and love it, you can also get a carbine kit for it and make it a rifle
-
Buckmark Camper is pretty hard to beat.
-
I love my Ruger Mk III Hunter. I'd buy another in a heart beat!

Ruger New Model Single Six.
I mentioned my single six before with a similar thread and I got the impression the single six was no longer being manufactured. So it is back and called New.

Browning buckmark or ruger mark II or III, you won't regret it
-
smith and wesson model 317 lite great gun and can carry it all day and not know it is there.
-
Kel-tec PMR 30! Awesome gun. Its a 22 mag so has a little more pop to it but it holds 30 RDS and is fun as heck to shoot.
-
ruger mkIII, Buckmark, or if you can find on, an old S&W 41. Usually smooth as glass and nice triggers!
-
MK II OR III hands down :IBCOOL:

Single Six. Mines a .22LR or a .22 Mag
I inherited the same, but somehow the mag cylinder disappeared before it made it to me. Thinking about sending it in.
Results from my single six last weekend.

Thanks for all the input. I had been thinking about getting the Ruger Mark II or III. I do like that Kel-tec PMR 30.
My dad has been looking for that and is saying he is having a hard time finding one.
-
Browning Buckmark or something the the SW #17 line for revolver.
-
MK II OR III hands down :IBCOOL:
:yeah:

A single six with lr and mag cylinders is on my list to get, but I've got an M&P22 pistol that is a good little shooter, same size as the m&p9/.40. It can be ammo picky but usually a little spray of Rem oil on the ammo solves that.

I really like my Buckmark, it shoots great.
I hope you've got a stockpile of ammo, decent .22 is very hard to find these days.
-
If you like the cowboy style revolver, the single six is cool, and i'll get one one of these days.. as for an auto-My vote is for the ruger. I've owned several, and my vote would be a mark2 if you can find one. I carried an old fixed sight mark 1 to nationals at camp perry last year, and before i went I shot it and my stainless mark 2 off the bench at 50yds, and both would hold better than 2" at 50yds.. and while I discovered at nationals that I'm not a great pistol shot (apparently I'm mediocre), I didnt feel a bit disadvantaged with my ruger..

buckmark, or ruger mk II or III, for the money, Buckmark
-
I love my Ruger Mk III Hunter. I'd buy another in a heart beat!

:yeah: Cabela's had a good deal on the ruger's. If I remember right it was 299.99 for it and came with soft case and 3 mag's

Mine was two mags, I think that's the deal still. $299.99 is a heck of a deal. I got the Target 22/45 bull barrel for $279.99
The Ruger Mk III is an awesome gun. Little bit heavy for carrying around for anything but hunting but man is it a grouse killer
I'd recommend it to anyone who digs an accurate .22
-
the 22/45 has the same upper half and mechanism with a fiberglass lower, just as accurate but lighter to carry..
-
I lean towards the Buckmark
-
Buckmark is my choice

If you are wanting a revolver that is made in the USA and cost under $200. Look at the Heritage Rough Rider.
