my strings from breathn(johns custom came on monday.24 strands of 452x on strings and cables.they look sharp n match my camo real well.i decided against any flourecent colors this go.
well it only took a twist or 2 to the yoke legs to get her shootin bullet holes.easy set up.put my 475 grain huntin arrow through the chrono n got 290 3 times in a row.thats 10 fps faster than i was getting out of my factory set.at 31 inch draw and 70 and 1/2 lbs.
i guess all there is to be seen is how they hold up.but as it sits i dont think i will be looking elsewhere for a set for a long while.actually think i will order another set in the next month or so just to have on hand.
now for the rad peep.my old peep was not treating me too well.it gave me a good amount of blur that i have never experienced and in low light, even at 1/4 inch i had a horrible time picking out my target or sight.radsav recommended to try blue and i have got to agree it was a good move.i shot well into the low light of the evening tonight n i can see a clear difference.idk if that is just me,but i am happy as could be.

Good looking set up. Im getting my bow restrung soon also. What was the reason for the blue peep? I dont care at all for the peep i have currently and will be using a rad peep. I just hadn't really considered the color.
-
i went blue for better light transmission.actually i did so from suggestion of a guy much wiser than myself.it will take some more time to make a solid decision but as i see it now it is a marked improvement.this peep is a step above whatever i had before for sure.
new threads always make me happy.

Radsav is a wise man. No doubt. I might have to try the blue peep. Low light conditions can definatly be an important time of the hunt. Those spot hogs help a bunch too.

actually having a hard time getting used to the brightness of the pins on this sight.i have some higher quality fibers i ordered.just waiting to order bulletproof pins to put em in.
i am coming from a montana black gold sight n that thing blew this one out of the water on pin brightness.i dont notice it really besides when i am in my blind.i am sure the new fibers will help.
beyond that though.the hogg it i believe to be the perfect fixed pin sight.it is easy to adjust n has proven to be solid in the short amount of time i have had it.
i will not be chenging it out anytime soon, plus i like the extra large pin guard.

 looking good. Im not sure why your hig isnt as bright as the gold sight was. My sdp is wicked bright and is almost too much in high sun. Ill have to look at a hogit and see if theres a differance.
The blue color peep helps in low light because blue is easier on your eyes it doesnt draw your eye to focuse on it :twocents:

I bought it used.i think the fibers were replaced.i got some scottie ttuff fibers i ordered that im sure will fix it

Purple actually produces the least amount of glare of any of our peep sights. Blue and black have nearly the same amount of glare. However, the eye seems not to mind the glare from blue as much as is does from Red, Green, Pink or even Black. So if you are being irritated by peep glare often times blue will reduce the amount of irritation. On target peeps the Black Oxide type of finish on Specialty Archery's replaceable apertures can reduce irritation too. So does applying burnt cork to any peep. Berchwood Casey's Sight Black works great, but it can get messy and needs reapplication regularly.

purple seemed a little too girly to be putin on the bow brother.but i guess function before fashion.

I thought any woman that wanted that horrible glare from a pink peep would welcome purple. And while that might be true the dealers don't seem to want it. So it has been a slow seller. I think most of our purple sales are to men that are a little light in the shorts and dealers that cater to them :chuckle: I'm digging the blue right now. But, I would have absolutely no problem going purple. It really is the best color for clear sight picture.

Easy now my bow is purple and neongreen. Ive always said real men carn wear pink and be secure lol.

that bowtech is just mean lookin enough i imagine you could dress it up any which way n it would still look mean
