So today the lumberjack season started for me, unfortunately my truck can only hold half a chord of wood so after it was all loaded up, I took a quick look around and found about a half pound of morels for the wife and I. What a great day outdoors and a great way to finish off my last package of venison back straps ( I have a bad habit of giving meat away to family and friend) enjoy..it was delicious.

Yum! The perfect meal, wild venison and wild morels. Love them both! I didn't get very many this year. Jealous!

That sounds delicious, it was a 2010 walla walla syrah from Gramercy cellars. Probably some of the best wine batches I have ever had!

That wine got a 100 points from Robert Parker. I have a number of them in the cellar. Waiting another 2 years yet. Tick Tock. Would go well with venison and morels IMO. That looks tasty.
