Is Wildlife of the Pacific Northwest.
This should be an Awesome topic for the month and I can hardly wait to see the entries! :) Come on everyone, breakout those files and enter a photo! Or Grab your Camera and take some Fantastic Photos to enter! :)
Please remember the rules:
The Photo of the month Rules are:
1. Photos must be No Larger than 800 X 600 or 600 X 800 depending on Orientation.
2. Photos must be taken by the entrant
3. No Photo Manipulation is allowed except for Normal Editing, cropping, sharpening etc. Please do not enter HDR photos because they will be disqualified!
4. Photo Must Pertain to the Current Months Theme.
5. Photo Must be taken within the last calendar year.
6. Only One Entry per month. So make sure your entry is the one you want! The First Photo you enter Will be Considered your entry!
7. Winner of this month's contest is not eligible for the next month's contest
8. Photos entered in previous months contests are not eligible for any other months contests.
9. Washington state photo subjects will be given preferences in case of a tie for judging.
10. Winning Photos will be posted on the Front Page
11. Monthly Photo Winners will be automatically entered into the Photo of the Year contest
12. Moderators May Enter any Contest because the Members of this site Will Pick the Winner!
13 Entry Deadline is Midnight of June 28th.
14. The Winner of the contest shall be responsible to email Bearpaw your shipping information to receive your prize!
Please Note the following New Rule!
15. January 1, 2013, we will No Longer go through the entries and Re-size photos that do not follow the Contest Rules about Photo size! The only time we will do so is if it is requested by the entrant because they do not know how to do so on their own. That request must be posted in the entry or requested by either a PM or an email. It is Unfair to the members that follow the size rules for us to continue re-sizing on our own. So from now on, if the photo is too big and we have not been asked for help the photo will be Disqualified!

Unedited/sharpened. (I wish I could remove the date/timeStamp) While not a game animal, this little guy got my attention for quite a while.

Fuzzy things lol.

Great photo Backtail, but I don't think it actually fits the Theme of Wildlife of The Pacific Northwest! :( Last time I knew Yellowstone Park wasn't in the Pacific Northwest. Or did they move it on me? ;) :) :D

Someone else also commented about this. I was not certain it would fly either, but used this source:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Northwest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific_Northwest)
I posted this link in the thread and offered to remove it if the powers that be felt it did not qualify. That particular posting has been removed (not by me), and the person I was taking to seemed to agree it was good to go.
So again, if who ever is in charge of the contest feels it does not meet the requirements, then please just delete it.

My BAD! I never thought of Yellowstone Park being a part of the Pacific Northwest before! I therefore stand corrected and have learned something today! The photo shall therefore remain in the contest and be deemed appropriate!

Thanks for the kind comments. We found that kid last Sunday and are guessing she was probably less than 24 hours old. We found them way down in the timber about a half mile from where we normally see goats. (There were 4 other goats including a more sure footed newborn higher up the mountain in the cliffs.)
Here is a video of this kid when we first found it. The kid was having a hard time even walking. Still stumbling around a bit.

Last week near Redmond, OR I saw these two roosters trying to show each other up. I know it should just be the first picture, but I thought the series shows them off better, as soon as they started to fight they went downhill behind some rocks and that was the end of the show for me.
