:bash: ok, so May 16th i went to replace cards and batteries in my cams.. went up June 1st to check again... 4 outta my 6 cameras took pics the 16th... and not a single picture after that day!!! . batteries were still good, cams were still on yesterday... any ideas what the hell happend lol. bad luck !?
-
Judging by the pic in the avatar, its probably operator error. :chuckle:
-
real funny *censored*!! :bdid: LMAO
-
Just sell me your cams j rod, I'll let em see some deer! :sry:
-
ok ! ill be sure to spray them with deer repelent first you dick!!! haha your always pickin on me cuz i have good property :IBCOOL: :yike:
-
I have been known to leave a camera or two in "setup"???
-
well if that was my case it wouldnt of taken picture that day i change everything...
-
Must be bad locations. It can be tough if you're not using bait.
-
Sounds like a clear cut case of a sasquatch with a sense of humor to me
-
Probably a combination of no (or few critters), bad location or bad setup.
-
nope not the case because there was a 50 lb protein block and 50 lbs of sweet feed put out at each cam on the 16th and ther was still a bunch left on the last pics on that day.. so all that was eatin after the 16th.. plus there is huge mineral sites being pounded on each spot..
-
So you're saying there were animals in front of your cameras but they took no pictures? Could the cameras be too far away?
-
yep ther was plenty of feed in front of cams! and not the feed is 10 ft away. and took pics of animals that day after i left then not another pic on 4 cams . crazy bad luck i think. :bash: :bash: :bash:
-
What kind of cams? I have had a whole load of cob that got ate with no pics, Cob was gone no pics. My batteries were nearly dead.
-
1 was a Moultre 880. abd the other 3 were Primos truth 46's
-
That's certainly strange and I offer no explanation. Did you walk in front of the cameras after you checked them, to determine if they're still detecting motion?
-
Cam angle maybe? sensor pointing above potential animals, a mistake ive made before.
-
i walked in fornt of them and it didnt take pics when i checked it on the 1st.. but the angle is good cuz its straight away from feed and only 4 ft high. and was takin good pics the 16th.... aliens are to blame i think haha
-
Just curious, How far apart in locations are the camera's and how camouflaged are they?
-
each one is about 2000 yrds aprt. private property. they are in hard places to find. i dont think anyone found them.

I was gonna say maybe someone walked up on one, and took it upon themselves to turn the cameras off or erase everything. Maybe went on alittle scavenger hunt for the rest of them.
-
nope they were all ON. and most people would take the SD card rather than delete all the pics except the day i was there... or even steal the cams.. :bash:
-
ive had many cams in cooler weather not take pics of moose, bear and deer standing right in front of them
-
ya maybe all the rain up there got to them or something :dunno:
-
I see your from the north east could be you had some wolves in the area. that ran out all the game happened a lot to me when I hunted elk in Idaho.
-
Maybe the batteries are not as good as you think? :dunno:
-
Well if you walked up to the camera and it didn't take a picture its the camera. Whats the duration between shots set to?
-
takes 1 picture every minute.. if it woulda been 1 camera i would understand the camera might be going tits up but 4 is alittle crazy
-
What has the temperatures been at?
warmer temperatures tend to give poor performance.
the sensor is looking for a temperature change in motion as in a 60 degree day trip easily as a 85 degree animal passes by but when its 85 out it only picks up night time picture when the temp drop.
I'm not saying thats whats going on with yours but I get dead spell every year as it warms. I would try setting a few in shaded areas to see if you can get back on them or find places you expect them in the early morning / late evening. :dunno:
-
I'm not camera guy at all so don't slam me if I'm way off but 4 feet off the ground seems high. Unless a deer had his head up wouldn't it just pass under?
-
ya Temp could have something to do with it but it was only in high 60s and low 70s for those 3 weeks. and rain. and the cams are at 4 ft be they are pointed down at an angle over the feed.

Judging by the pic in the avatar, its probably operator error. :chuckle:

Do you have different gig memory cards? If your memory card is to small for one camera and not for the other and you get them crossed, they won't take pictures. Just make sure they didn't all get crossed when you pulled them to check them. I put a 2 gig in my cam and it didn't work. I had to go with a 8 gig I believe.
-
i run 8 GB cards in all my cams.
-
I have had issues when I've mixed cards between cameras, I was having problems with a m-80 I have, replaced the batteries and did a reset on the camera, different card and all has been good since. Four camera having problems at the same time?????. I do run mine lower than 4 feet most of the time, depending on the location.
-
You said you replaced the batts. on em that day. Coincidence? Bad batch bought at same location or same jumbo package maybe? Wolves in area like Pend said a possibility for sure up there.
