Title: Where is the best food in e-burg?
Post by: Rob on June 14, 2013, 08:08:35 AM: Some of my buddies and I are meeting in ellensburg tonight for dinner. we ususally just meet at the Ranchhouse off I-90. Any other places that have great food? We are not picky regarding type of food.

Yup, the Flyin' J has decent food. Killer taco omelet in there! :tup:

Post by: runamuk on June 14, 2013, 09:25:23 AM: Lots of good food in town, the Tav has good fish and chips and french dips, Bleachers has great burgers and sweet potato fries are the bomb plus their beer is cheaper.... the Palace has decent food.....and if you like sushi the weird place that was ginko tree and now is new york teriyaki has good sushi oddly enough and hot sour soup thats so yummy

Tav for great burgers, and atmosphere

Bleachers for burgers

Pasta co. for pasta

Spurs has an excellent steak as well.

Ihop over by Loves Truck Stop if you want breakfast type food.

I'd second all of these...if you're not worried about having a heart attack, try the mac and cheese with bacon at Bleachers, it's awesome. Unfortunately, everytime you eat it you take a year off the end of your life.

The Dakota Cafe also has good food.

Musta been the residual mountain house taste that threw me off.

All kidding aside, I agree re: the Buzz Inn.

we have eaten there 4-5 x this year and so far every time has been really good, maybe we got lucky, i now growing up truck stops always had the best food and so far they have yet to disappoint :dunno:

Post by: Special T on June 14, 2013, 08:05:04 PM: Its not there anymore... :'( Mama's Cooking Cagun! That old lady had the BEST hush-pupies. It was one of those run down dives that had great food. It was only open wed, Sat, sun and something like 5am till 2pm. My favorite was her jumbila or for breakfast after duck hunting chicken fried steak eggs and hash browns. :EAT: GOD i Miss that place!

I'll visit this thread again next time we head over and try an different place. thanks for the ideas!
